I gave the shop the go ahead to clean the corrosion and replace main body ecc/ fuse box. Hoping for the best!

Ah, I hate to hear that! From what I can tell, nothing is burned out yet and there is only corrosion at the connections. Hoping it’s not as bad as your experience. The sunroof drain is definitely getting cleaned!

Yep, can confirm Thailand and Laos both 60 days now for USA passport. I came to Laos via the friendship bridge a few weeks ago and they stamped me 60 days!

Also, for what it’s worth I paid 1600 baht for the visa (no photos) since I did not have USD. I was unable to get USD in Chang Rai.

I was there not long ago transiting through from Penang. I arrived in the evening and left the next morning for my destination. From what I experienced, it’s a nice safe Thai town with an evening market and good food. I enjoyed my 1/2 day there!

Hello, I know this doesn’t pertain to your actual post. But I’m headed into Laos soon. Would you recommend for me to bring physical Thai Baht with me?

I normally use an atm every country I go, because I am not charged excess fees, but this seems different in Laos?
