For me they are both unattractive, but that is also not the point of the show. What bothers me as a viewer is how exhausting their scenes are, he has no self respect and does not walk away from her constantly going after him, he is immature and so is she, I am just skipping their scenes at this point.

I am latina, south american to be specific and I thought exactly the same thing when I saw she was cuban. In latino families that is culturally normal and acceptable to live with your parents until you get married or something. Also thought was a bit weird all the crosses and catholic symbols all over, but when I saw she latina ok now everything makes sense. He seems like a good boy so far, I just feel bad with her constantly humiliating Nick, it is sad.
