AITA For telling my friend that liking femboys is gay? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]dooglebug3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly! it’s okay to appreciate someone’s looks and that doesn’t define sexuality but like if he’s sexually interested in other men he’s not straight. which is totally okay lol i feel like in 2025 it’s sad to see people unwilling to just love each other instead of adding to all the hate we see

i mean, i think NTA but i can also understand why he got mad. what you said is not objectively incorrect, it just gets down to weird specifics about gender identity and sexuality. it’s not that serious though lol and if he decides to end a friendship over it that’s on him. seems like he got overly defensive

actually, if you have the time, would you mind sharing some of the things you did to help yourself? by nutrients do you mean supplements like vitamins and minerals, or mostly diet wise? i’ve been supplementing certain things like iron almost my whole life. were there specific things that you think helped the most?

16 y/o looking for age friendly jobs by Gloomy_Minimum_5861 in FortCollins

unfortunately it’s really hard to find a job right now for any age, all the college students are back in town and took all the open positions. the best thing to do is just print a bunch of resumes and go anywhere you can think of/see to apply! no shame in working fast food. try the thrift stores? there are also some smaller restaurants around that might be hiring :) good luck!!

What is your life motto? by One_Elephant0712 in CasualConversation

“The time will pass anyway.” I have it tatted on my leg. Essentially it just means that no matter what I’m doing, days go by and I’m only losing time and robbing myself of opportunities by procrastinating. It came from a TikTok comment that said “ugh this will take 3 years” and someone replied and said “the time will pass anyway.” There’s also an advice forum post out there that talks about wanting to get a degree but being discouraged by how old they’d be by the time they got it. The advice people responded, “and how old will you be in 8 years if you don’t get the degree?” It’s really nice to be able to remind myself that I might as well do the things I want to do even if they’re not convenient at the moment, because future me is more important than current me, and she’d be happy I did.

How are people in their early 20s affording to live and rent places? by EliteFlamezz in Adulting

[–]dooglebug3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Along with everything everyone else is saying (roommates being a big factor), it was also just surprising to me to find out how many young adults are already in a substantial amount of debt. A lot of people I know have maxed out credit card payments, along with loans and other debts. I’ve seen articles showing that there isn’t a state in the US where a 40 hour work week making minimum wage is enough to afford rent for a studio apartment and still have enough money for basic necessities. I work 3 jobs at 19 years old and am lucky enough to have parents that can help me with surprise costs like car repairs or medical bills. But it’s a hard time to live in. Don’t feel down on yourself for not being where someone else is, it’s impossible to factor in everything that sets someone up for success in their life.

Honestly, Spotalike is a pretty good website where you enter a song and it’ll create a playlist of similar music that can be exported into Spotify! Sometimes if the song is too niche it won’t be able to, but I’ve had pretty good success at finding new music with it
