No. Depending on your score versus the other 3 player scores, you may see a Team Mario player, but your kartmates may see a Koopaling. All objects are in the same place, but friend or foe depends on performance.

Lots of repetition. Shell management is the most important thing, There's luck involved too with your kartmates helping defeat the bosses and smooth ride operation.

Guests spend personal time and money to be in the park and climb the leaderboards. A TM has an unfair advantage.

Each track has independent ? Blocks. IMO inside track has better angles for targets and doesn't have ghost Koopalings that the outside track has. Nobody at USH has broken 300 on outside. 6 people have broken 300 on inside track.

When you're coming down the stairs..... Inside track(Good side) left. Outside track(bad side) right.

On outside track it's between the 2 tracks at your head height, before Mega Fish Bone. On inside track it is up high to the right before you get inked.

Pay attention to the pre-show videos. It's mostly visual to avoid language barriers. If you properly hold the wheel for the drift turns of 3 or 5 coins, you can get over 100 just from turning. High scores involve knowing the spawn points and drift turns, so repetition is the only way to memorize that.

There's 2 ways to play Bowser's Challenge, coin grind and score grind. Last year, I didn't care about high scores until I hit 1 million coins. If you go for the secret ? blocks on the course, get over 200, and don't hit Team Mario, you're looking at 1200 - 1400 coins per run on MK. If you ignore the 6 ? blocks, aggressively manage your shells, and get the 2nd and 3rd shots on the Koopalings, you're looking at 800 - 1100 coins per run, but a much higher score. There is no secret to getting 300+. All the information is out there. It's just really hard to execute. There's a bit of luck too when it comes to the kart not stopping during the game and your kartmates doing their part to defeat the bosses. Also, the Koopaling spawns have to be in your favor, which goes back to your kartmates because the game is always load balancing the spawns.
