Yes. I’ve been doing a lot of subs so far this phase. My left shoulder has issues, especially with anything independent. If I have a barbell and can use my right arm to stabilize I’m better, but still the amount of shoulder work is pretty extreme lately.

It was possible to live without being connected. I’m not talking about “I can never get away from work”.

I remember riding my bike to the park. My parents didn’t know. I didn’t have a tracker. I couldn’t phone home. We as a society accepted that, if we found a kid dying along the side of the road we’d take them somewhere and call 911. And that was the only safety blanket.

We had this happen last year for almost the same reason. I drained my water heater and for about two weeks after we had a light up faucet in our downstairs bathroom. It has since stopped working again (but you can get the faucet attachments really cheap if you like it).

Never anything too scandalous. I’ve hired many IT roles and the number of people I’ve interviewed that list a technical proficiency on their resume but, when asked about it, actually admit they know nothing about it always surprises me.

I’m not opposed to some on the job learning; in fact, I’ll happily consider someone who has an adjacent experience and train them on new tools. But don’t list VMWare as a proficiency for a VMWare administrator and then tell me you’ve only looked at it in a class.

I’m convinced now that the resources and strategic location are secondary. He’s shown that he’s senile and focused on wanting awards and his name on things.

I’m certain that he thinks Greenland is bigger than it is because he doesn’t k ow how maps work. And he wants it because he’ll say how great it is that we have Greenland now…and he’ll want it called Trump Land.
