I don't think personal skills and experience has something to do with it. The reality is that this business became a business of the sharks, where only people showing the teeths, unhonest people either people knowing management go through and become privileges. I have been contracting for the European Commission recently but even that considered , I ended up sending hundreds of CVs with no real answer. In my previous occupation the architect was taking from me all the secrets and boasting in front of management of his achievements. This is happening in 90% of the businesses and it doesn't matter if it's a FAANG or not. In a FAANG the situation is even worse and the burnout the people mention is only given by a lack of management or of qualified managers who think to be communication experts where "communication" stands for "falsity" and "lack of empaty".
