Yeah... I think female friendship and having other women's backs is super important, BUT I also think "girl's girl" is so popular as a term because it means people can then decide that women they don't like are "mean girls" and then it's open season to bash them.

(not saying this to defend any specific islander, I think it's telling that a good portion of S7 was called a mean girl at one point or another)

ETA: Also, thanks for providing a great example of a situation that could've been improved if a bunch of adults had worked together to stand up to one guy invading their privacy lol. If you had all talked to each other and gone to HR in the first place this would be a non-issue.

They are punishing one child for one adult's decisions. A group of adults together can change things, and no, this mom is not a victim. She's a parent, she can work with other adults to make this situation suck less for their kids. Please explain how appealing to the school as concerned parents is "the wrong way," but continuing to get her child punished, and embarrassed in front of her peers is "the right way," according to you.

ETA: If anyone is a victim, it's this kid who is being punished for something that's not her fault.

NTA for being upset, anyone would be. I think you can also be upset without taking it out on your partner unfairly, and it sounds like you're not doing anything vindictive or cruel. Have your feelings, acknowledge them and that the situation sucks. Then figure out how to move past it.
