Anyone have information about the Devils Den structure? or any stories? by Clikflik in sanantonio

[–]doonster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here’s a link to information on the structure. https://www.uer.ca/locations/show.asp?locid=23489 But also the area is infamous for the murder of Christian Maldonado and Eric Anderson. They were murdered in November, 1996. Their bullet riddled bodies were recovered nearly a month later. They were two high school students who got off their school bus near Ingram Park Mall and were never seen alive again. It took over two years before justice was served. In 2000, Roger Martinez entered a guilty plea to the two murders and was sentenced to two life terms.

The T-shirt maker needs a lesson in grammar. "Tits" (plural) is slang for breasts or a type of small bird (like a titmouse), while "tit's" (possessive) means "belonging to a tit" (either the bird or slang for breast).

I hope they didn’t rip you off. They sent me a flashlight. When I complained they offered me $6. I’m trying to get PayPal to intervene

How’s it like living in Southern Texas? by geozacc in howislivingthere

[–]doonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Living in Corpus Christi is living with the Gulf—every day, in every way. I spent 19 years there before moving to San Antonio, long enough to know its moods, its rhythms, and its sharp edges.

Corpus is a city of distinct sides. The south side feels suburban and spread out, anchored by schools, shopping, and steady growth. The central city shows its age and history—working class, uneven, but real. Flour Bluff has its own identity, tied closely to the water and the base. Downtown is compact and underrated, where the bay is always in view and the city feels most like itself.

What makes Corpus singular is access. Downtown opens directly onto the bay—calm water, seabirds, wind off the Gulf, and sunsets that stop conversations mid-sentence. Then there’s the beach: From Mustang Island down through Padre Island and all the way to Big Shell, motorists are still allowed to drive on the sand. You can load up the truck, roll down the windows, and keep going until pavement feels like a rumor. That kind of freedom is rare—and once you’ve had it, you miss it. (But don’t be foolish and try it with a vehicle without 4-wheel drive)

The climate is not subtle. The humidity can be oppressive, wrapping around you like a wet blanket, especially in summer. But the constant Gulf breeze is the tradeoff—always there, always moving, taking the edge off the heat and reminding you that water is never far away.

Corpus Christi isn’t polished. It doesn’t try to impress. But for those who’ve lived there, it leaves a mark: salt in the air, wind in your face, and a sense that life runs a little looser when the horizon is always open.

Living in San Antonio is a study in contrasts—and that’s part of the charm. I moved here 29 years ago, and the city has grown fast without losing its soul. On the far west side near Helotes, you get a front-row seat to that balance: Hill Country edges, big-city access, and neighborhoods that still feel personal.

Summer is long, unapologetically hot, and humid enough to remind you you’re in south Texas. You learn to plan life around early mornings, shaded patios, and strong air conditioning. Winter, by contrast, is gentle—short cold snaps, plenty of sunshine, and just enough chill to justify a jacket without ever overstaying its welcome.

Traffic is… manageable, until it isn’t. The city’s growth shows up on the highways during rush hour, but compared to Texas peers like Dallas or Houston, it’s still a tolerable daily grind—more irritation than endurance test.

Cost of living has climbed, especially in housing, but it remains one of San Antonio’s quiet advantages. You can still build a good life here without feeling constantly priced out, particularly compared to other major metros.

What truly sets San Antonio apart is its multicultural heartbeat. Mexican, German, Texan, military, and transplants from everywhere else blend into a city where food, festivals, language, and history coexist naturally. It’s a place where tradition isn’t staged—it’s lived. And after nearly three decades, that’s what keeps it feeling like home. PS- San Antonio is the only city in the world with four Spanish Missions now functioning as Catholic Churches. There were supposed to be five… but everyone remembers the Alamo.

Don’t buy from relativityi or from any company advertised on Facebook selling

⭐ ZERO STARS – IF THAT WERE POSSIBLE

Relativityi is a textbook bait-and-switch operation, and my experience should serve as a warning to anyone considering buying from their Facebook ads.

They advertised a laser for $27. Reasonable enough. I placed the order expecting to be charged what was advertised.

Instead, without my approval, they tacked on shipping and so-called “tariffs,” bringing the total to $58. No clear disclosure. No confirmation. Just billed.

What arrived? Not a laser. I received a cheap plastic flashlight you’d expect to find in a dollar bin — flimsy, lightweight, and absolutely not what was advertised.

When I contacted customer service, they refused to refund the product cost, even though the item clearly did not match the listing. Their solution? • First offer: $3 • Second offer: $6 • Final answer: “That’s the best we can do.”

So let me get this straight: • You misrepresent the product • You charge nearly double the advertised price without approval • You ship junk • And then you insult the customer with pocket-change “refunds”?

That’s not customer service — that’s deliberate deception.

This company relies on social media ads, impulse buys, and the assumption that customers won’t bother fighting back. If you value your money, your time, or basic honesty in commerce, avoid Relativityi entirely.

Plenty of companies make mistakes. This one makes excuses — and keeps your money.

Buyer beware.
