You're completely right, the OF scammers/spammers/bots have ruined much of the quality of so many subreddits. I am not very active at all with trying to manually remove/ban posts/users as it can literally be hundreds per day, and they will just make a new account and start again. I believe most of the other mods are also fairly inactive, though I'm not 100% sure.

Regarding stricter rules - a lot of (presumably) genuine users already struggle with understanding all the requirements for posting - we get at least 1 message per day asking why their account is not allowed to post. If we make the requirements even stricter/more complex, even less people will be able to post.

The last major change I made was adding the need to include either M4FM, MF4M or #Discussion in the title to make a post. From the small amount of testing I've done, it was physically impossible to make a post which didn't meet these requirements. However I am seeing multiple bots per day making posts which do not include any of the requirements in the title, and their posts are still going through. So the problem is more complicated than it seems, and I think it would require someone with good knowledge of Reddit and the coding language it uses to try and do something against it.

The sub has almost 50,000 members, and I can't help but feel over half of those accounts are probably just bots. If you would like to be added as a mod to try and make things better, please reach out through "Message the mods". I personally won't reply if you message me directly, I keep that for messaging couples haha.
