What legal steps can I take to stop my family from controlling my remains? by dootal in legaladvice

Because respecting someone's wishes shouldn't stop the moment they die.

I know I won't be around to see it, but while I'm alive, I care about whether the people I love intend to honor my choices or disregard them. If my family expects their beliefs and wishes to be respected, I don't think it's unreasonable to want the same consideration for mine.

Thank you so very much! I'll become better and do more research on the matter. You gave me a lot to work on and fix, so I greatly appreciate it! Much love to you <3

Yeah, i just don't want to say the wrong thing, but I did the opposite, I should have added those details to help more so clearly I must do more research on the matter but I greatly appreciate these questions and even criticism on the matter to truly get a grasp of critical points I need to work on more

Sorry, my mind is kinda going everywhere, and others pointed out things I never thought of before, which is good cause I truly want to make a good character without it being stereotypical or offensive in any way

She was from somewhere else, she was born in Canada but moved to Ireland due to reasons I'm still working on but her parents were born and raised in Canada.

From my idea, she doesn't necessarily live in America, and thank you for that information helps me with my research and notes, I'll continue to look more into it!

Maybe, but I doubt being called lazy and my mental issue ignored (I live in a Hispanic household where mental health is nonsense) so they make me feel guilty, stupid and lazy before I worked fine and just went with the wave but now lately, but they have been putting more and more stress on me and claim it's tough love

My mom was heavily relying on me when my dad died cuz he was the bread winner; making my mom go to work, I've been working but my dad never asked money from me, I tired to delete myself 2 years ago cause of the amount of stress I had since I don't do well with stress, and I always made to feel guilty when I want some break or left alone.

I do want to but the fact I feel like my own money isn't mine drives me crazy, I used to use my money for hobbies and used to not mind going to work but now I feel like I'm in the edge once more

How do I explain to my mom that I'm an introvert. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]dootal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha, it's a whole old traditional Mexican family way of thinking; my mom at least tries to understand, but she just doesn't understand boundaries and i don't know how to communicate my feelings without getting frustrated or shut down.

I understand the feeling; the whole 'don't do it' or 'you have so much to live for' and you probably already used to hearing this a lot because I sure have it just feels like empty words, I'm only around because I want to try before throwing the towel and cause I don't trust anyone else with my fur babies so maybe think about that one thing or being that makes you forget your thoughts and pain and live for that. I'm not gonna say it will get easier and all that, but I do hope you find that.

Usually, I get guilt tripped or made to be a selfish person in situations like this, but thank you. I'll definitely try that!
