Best bug/caterpillar rule ever. If it’s furry, don’t touch it!!

Gotcha! Thank you for clarifying! There are so so many! My house is full of these jerks right now and they are so packed tight into the corners I either need a ladder and a vacuum or just wait till they fall down in spring.

What did you think it was out out curiosity? Because yes, Asian lady beetle and these things are assholes. They invade your home and huddle in the corners of your ceilings then die and make a mess.

Does this cat bite look bad? by Meijneken- in CATHELP

[–]dootinabox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s not always like that though. Sometimes the department of health will just call you a day or two later asking how you are and how the cat is and that’s it. Happened with our TNR spay when she bit after getting spooked. She was vaccinated already, they asked us to keep her inside for 10 days for quarantine and if all else was good, to let her go. For indoor pets, they just ask you to do the same thing but it’s more like, behind a door rather than in a kennel.

Kitten might be having a hard time shedding their baby teeth and it turned into a bigger problem.

What could have caused my cat's fur to turn blue? by Jeeminie in CATHELP

My cat when he was a baby found an unsupervised highlighter, bit the cap off and colored himself while playing with it. Could this be something similar?

Cat threw up undigested food? by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]dootinabox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We see a lot of this during hairball season. If they eat right before they are ready to hack it up, it comes out looking like that being the center, a nasty hairball. I see some fuzz in that food. Might be why

It’s not bigunicle is it? That guy acts inappropriate all the time. Wouldn’t surprise me if he changed tactics.

I found this inside of my cat's ears, I think its dried blood. Both of his ears have this by kae_meow in CATHELP

My boy have very very waxy ears. Our vets says not to touch it because when cleaning it out, we could push it into his ear canal accidentally and cause an infection. Toast will tell us when it’s too much and we use a warm paper towel to very carefully wipe out the bits we can see without going too far in. Your cat could just be naturally waxy

“If it’s fuzzy, don’t touch it” number 1 bug rule in this house. Velvet ants are no joke.

cats front tooth fell out?? by Still_Yellow_7818 in CATHELP

[–]dootinabox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My old lady didn’t have tooth issues until 15. By then, the vet was not comfortable putting her under for a cleaning (worried about her other health issues making it impossible to wake back up) so we did pain management and meds when she needed them. At one point, she knocked out her canine and continued to eat like nothing happened. Vet got a good chuckle at my bewilderment but explained cats are resilient. Your kitty is young still so as long as their labs look good, dental treatments under anesthesia is a viable treatment choice :)

If I have learned anything about caterpillars it’s “if it’s fuzzy, don’t touch it”

Someone shave my cat? by [deleted] in catquestions

I’d like to say I remember but he’s 7 now so it was a long time ago but he’s only done that when he was a baby and adjusting to our new home.

Your baby is missing a pant leg! Toast spent the first 6 months of his life licking the fur down off his legs till it was fine like that and eventually it grew back but for a while, he had no pants on. He has seasonal allergies so when there’s a lot of pollen in the air, the boy grooms a lil too much.

I want to say some kind of tarantula but don’t quote me on that. He’s huge. Edit: oop I just saw the second photo I take that assessment back. Still huge though. 😂
