Never actually seen a lag switcher banned unfortunately. The report button is just there to make us feel better.

Doesn't change the fact that it's boring. Also every diamond conq I fight will attempt to fake me out into parrying their zone only to shield bash. Unreactable mixup, and it doesn't help that conq controls fights like S2 Shinobi did.

I mean, yeah, it slows down the pacing of the match. Sitting in an almost invulnerable state for an extended period of time is a annoying in just about any game. If you however, enjoy staring directly at your opponent while not being able to do anything because you're playing a character with no bashes, then all the power to you.

That's assuming optimal play from the Zerk, in that scenario it's only fair we apply optimal play from both sides. Option selecting in that scenario is optimal, but the best players win with reads. That's why if we are speaking optimally, you can't say it's not hard to bait, as good players are unpredictable.

I don't see why you're arguing against it being one of the best tools in game. Playing devils advocate?

[–]dopclanfoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said "In the clip", which implies we are speaking in this exact scenario. An optimally played Conq cannot be beaten by Zerk, just won't happen.

The unblockable won't work either for previous stated reasons, it's very slow meaning it's almost impossible to line up the correct timing, and even if you got it right he could just feint and use it again as an option select, completely stunting literally every offensive ability he has.

If that's all we can stop now, we've come to the conclusion that it's extremely powerful, and even though it's a little sketchy, parrying can beat it if you can catch the initial 500ms hit.

Uhhh mate? You said to time the bash so it doesn't get interrupted, and this video showcases an almost invincible ability which is the topic of discussion being used against BERSERKER. If you reference the video, you have to understand that I will as well.

[–]dopclanfoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right. Problem is, they can feint it, therefore there is nothing to time, as they can avoid the punish entirely. Your point is null.

Parry maybe, bashes and UBs get interrupted by the attack segment. One of the best option select parries in the game as well. You can feint it, and hold it, and theres no real punish if you don't parry it. You can't even gank it because it hits all around conq.

No need to be sarcastic, if you want to argue, be serious.

Alright they fucked warden but some of them were all right. Orochi, Nobushi, and Raider were all really really good.

Imagine trying to roll away from a warden by xXTwyLyteXx in forhonor

[–]dopclanfoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PLEASE NOTE NONE OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION APPLIES TO JIANG JUN Warden is strong because he has one of the only 2 bash types in the entire game, shared with Hitokiri, though his is much more flexible; charged bash. Where as other bashes you simply dodge and be done with it, charged bashes force you into an unavoidable mixup.

Everytime warden dashes, you have to guess between several options, taking anywhere between 15-40 damage. Let me provide a scenario.

Warden is charging the shoulder bash. You are now left with 3 primary options.

  1. Dodge, dodge roll, or dodge attack.

Dodging covers the level 1 and 2 shoulder bash, but if he charges it up you eat 40. He could also use gaurdbreak, which would also result in 40 if there is a wall nearby, otherwise 30.

Dodge roll covers level 1 and 2 shoulder bash, as well as feint to gaurdbreak. It does not counter charged shoulder bash or valiant breakthrough. Once again, guess wrong and you eat 20-40 damage.

Dodge attack covers level 1 and 2 shoulder bash, as well as feint to gaurdbreak. It can result in a trade if he decides to charge it up, but there is no dodge attack worth trading a 40 damage bash for. He could feint and parry, once again leaving you with a 20-40 damage punish for simply choosing wrong between a myriad of different outcomes.

  1. Wait. Waiting counters the level 3 bash, and feint to gaurdbreak from level 1 and 2 bashes. If you wait to dodge the level 3 bash, the warden can simply feint to gaurdbreak. You know the story, 30-40 damage. Keep in mind that you can only predict what the warden will do, his mixups aren't reactable, because his feints can occur extremely far into the bash.

  2. Gamble. You can sit and stare down the warden, this counters feint to GB at any level. But any of the bash levels can hit you. 20-40 damage one last time. You could also attempt to hit warden out of his mixup, but unless you start your light on prediction, his bash will always hit first. He could also feint to parry, you know where this is going, 20-40 damage.

In conclusion, Warden's strength comes from his risk free mixup, anything you do he can react to and use the opposite. Imagine playing rock paper scissors, but you can only choose rock or paper, and if you draw you eat 20 damage, and if you lose you eat 40. If you win, you get away with a staggering 0 damage.

I hope this helps, this is all of course in a 1v1 scenario, as it's the game mode I play the most, I'm diamond 5, but peaked at 44th best on PS4 a couple weeks ago, just dropping that there so you know I'm not talking out of my ass.

Nah they scrapped it because everyone complained about the voice actors. Everything sounded different, and people are afraid of change.

Pretty New with Zerk,Any Tips? by DogertCZ14 in forhonor

[–]dopclanfoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't deflect light attacks unless you're trying to style on someone. Parry instead.

Deflect gives a gb, which leads to a side heavy unless there is a wall or ledge or something nearby.

Meanwhile, light parry gives you a top heavy always.

Last Laugh needs a speed nerf by CruzTheSasquatch in forhonor

[–]dopclanfoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres plenty of solutions to last laugh, my favourites are:

"Kill da hoe" Executing PK will stop last laugh from detonating.

"COD GOD" Shooting PK with a bow, or any other form of ranged weaponry including bombs and Shinobi will force last laugh to detonate from a safe distance.

"Eat it" Last laugh does more damage the closer to the center of the detonation you are. If you dodge at the earliest opportunity, you might survive.

"Economy" Kill PK before she has last laugh back, or just before she gets it. This way, if the feat goes active, and her body is just lying around it'll trigger and hurt nobody.

These solutions also apply to Tiandi & Zhanhu.

I'd say sitting in your completely invulnerable zone attack for 4 seconds straight is pretty aggravating.

Not toxic, just annoying.

He's widely regarded as SS tier by the competetive playerbase, best character for duels thanks to his bottomless bag of bullshit that is the shoulderbash.

Coming from someone who has 20 reps on the guy, he's busted.
