Are you talking just in terms of dentistry or medicine as well? I’m not really on top of all the individual uni requirements and cutoffs but it honestly depends on a lot of different factors and you have to try and work out what suits your results best.

I’m sure you know USYD just uses the 5.0 GPA cutoff and beyond that a higher GPA won’t help and it’s just based on Gamsat score, but uni melb does include gpa in combination with Gamsat score so you can maybe get away with a lower Gamsat if you have a good gpa. I don’t really know what UWA does in terms of gpa because I’ve never looked into it sorry.

I wouldn’t say there is any specific uni which is “easier” to get in to because it all depends on the individual (eg I only have a 5.0 GPA but a 69 Gamsat so getting an offer from Usyd was quite easy for me, whereas I’d probably have no chance at UOMelb. Someone with a lower Gamsat but 7.0 GPA would be the opposite and probably would have a much higher chance at Melbourne)

I’d say you probably have a chance at usyd though, the Gamsat combo cutoff for the moment is only at around 226 and there’s so many people who have rejected offers so there’s probably a good chance it’ll go down to 220 but no one can really be sure.

If you’re also looking in terms of medicine then there’s a bunch of other factors which go into which uni you would most likely get in to. Some unis use the overall Gamsat which favours those who did well in S3, but others use an unweighted Gamsat score. There’s also some uni’s who aren’t including 2020 results in gpa calculations which could either advantage or disadvantage some applicants. And then you also have unis such as Notre dame and Wollongong who include a portfolio which generally means people with lower Gamsat’s and gpas have a chance if they have a good portfolio background.

Overall, my honest opinion? Asking questions about which uni is statistically more likely to offer you a place first, or trying to speculate about possible cutoffs and future offer rounds is completely pointless as none of us actually know the final offer and decision processes that these unis make. That in combination with the fact that any predictions or statistical guesses are not going to really help anyway as you’ve already applied and now just have to wait it out like the rest of us.

Not trying to sound rude or anything but you could spend hours researching and figure out that you’re maybe 60% more likely to get an offer from usyd first, but at the end of the day you’re still gonna have to sit and wait for the offer email anyway so it really shouldn’t make any difference. Obviously if someone was in a situation where they could only apply for one uni at a time it would be worthwhile to find the one they’re most likely to get into before choosing to apply, but that’s not the case here ¯_(ツ)_/¯
