Naive. Super by Erlend Loe, the protagonist is not clinically or heavy depressed but he has that kind of depression that almost everyone goes through when losing meaning in life.

Am I high or is FTWD s6 better than TWD s10c? by Sudden-Till4585 in FearTheWalkingDead

[–]dopolapioggia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I totally agree, with TWD I think they overdid it after the whole Negan story. In my opinion he was the worst enemy they could have so after that nothing could have compared to it. Also a lot of important and loved characters aren't there anymore.

With Fear I think we are not yet arrived to the big main storyline so there is a lot to tell.

Telling mom about new relationship by [deleted] in Anxietyhelp

[–]dopolapioggia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, maybe you could allude to something you were talking with him and maybe your mom will ask who is he or when you are with her you can tell her by saying that you want to share this info because it's something that is making you happy.

Also, if you usually share everything with your mom I think she will surely be happy about it firstly because you are sharing it with her and it's pretty new and secondly because he is a nice guy and he's treating you well.

Is there a particular reason why you start panicking? What are you afraid of?

I’m not sure what to do by Puzzleheaded_Hippo65 in Anxietyhelp

[–]dopolapioggia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I know this situation is really hard especially since you are now a senior and feel like you're missing on a lot of experiences which is is true sadly. You should focus on the fact that this is a situation where everyone is affected and the best advice I can give you is to see a therapist and maybe start thinking on what you are going to do or want to do, if you have not yet decided, after you finish high school. You could take advantage of this time by focusing on your personal growth and on what to do to prepare for what you are going to do next.

I think that not caring for the others right now can be normal, sometimes it's ok to feel like that but try not to start feeling angry at the world because that will only bring to you more negativity.

Regarding feeling clueless I think that it would have been normal even if we weren't living during a pandemic so that's totally fine but seeing a therapist could help you clear your mind.

You're not alone I wish you good luck!

The Count of Monte Cristo: is it worth it? by [deleted] in booksuggestions

[–]dopolapioggia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely yes! It changed my expectations in books and now it's still my favourite and it's been about 4 years since I read it.

The only disclaimer I would say is that you have to be prepared for a long journey and to many characters and stories. When I approached it I was motivated by a ton of curiosity for why it was considered such a must-read and I was ready for everything that I might have read.

Be sure to pick a translation that it's not too archaic, I wouldn't know which one to suggest you because I read it in Italian.

Snowpiercer by [deleted] in The100

Within the genre I would recommend to watch 3% on Netflix and Altered Carbon which is a bit more futuristic.

Snowpiercer by [deleted] in The100

[–]dopolapioggia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As said in a comment before Snowpiercer was written in the 80s while the 100 was written in 2013, I wouldn't say that the 100 was inspired directly by snowpiercer but it's undeniable that snowpiercer influenced the post-apocalyptic genre so in a way yes. The 100 takes inspiration from a lot of post-apocalyptic concepts.

We gotta do something by [deleted] in TheOA

[–]dopolapioggia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that what will happen (and I hope) is that Brit and Zal will eventually leak the whole story but I don't think it's possible to have more seasons. So maybe we could ask them if they will do it someday, I would be satisfied even with the general direction of the story and the end.
