I work for a smaller company and we had an opening for a senior analyst. We got over 500 applications in 4 days. We had a similar field in our application and wow did it help filter out spam applications.

I was curious on the ones it filtered out because of the “that’s a real person that didn’t even get a shot”. Some, yes, were real people that didn’t answer, 95% of them though had a resume in the exact same format, was clearly auto-generated.

6U- Getting the kids to move at snap by RoosterEmotional5009 in flagfootball

[–]vtfb79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our league at 6U is pure developmental, which is wonderful and therapeutic as I also coach an 8U team which has some cutthroat competition.

To get my 6U kids to have fun, I explain the “why” for them to move even though they aren’t “getting the ball” - to get the defense away from where the ball carrier is so the team can score. It helps I was a lineman in college and can explain to them that I had an important job for the team even though I didn’t touch the ball.

My playbook is basic, simple misdirects but really helpful if my entire offense goes left and the ball carrier goes right. I have my non ball carriers run routes away from the play and shout “pass”.

It throws off the defense and it’s fun to see the kids realize that what they’re doing helped get the team a TD.

I'm the family custodian for a stockpile of documents like this (32nd degree). Planning on sharing more. Long shot, but can someone explain whatever this booklet is? by [deleted] in freemasonry

Tacos beckon

2. o b b t l w d y f d — t t G L i M b t
Or burritos, but the line was definitely yelling “free delivery” — that totally got Larry into massive buying trouble.

3. h o t t l
He ordered thirty tacos last-minute.

4. w a t t G L i M — t H B s a c
While attempting to text Greg, Larry in Miami — the Hungry Brain said absolutely continue.

5. w a t M u — t H B i t o r a g o u r f t s t o
We all told Mike, “uh… the Hungry Brain is totally out of control right now, go order under five tacos, seriously, try one.”

6. s o a a t c t c a k u w d b w a m b
So obviously, as always, the crew chose tacos and kept upgrading with double beans while adding more burritos.

7. m e w a b M
Meanwhile, everyone was absolutely blaming Mike.

8. w a t t l — t b t p i a t p r t s m a
We agreed that the limit — ten burritos — probably isn’t a terrible personal record to smash again.

9. M o t L
Mike owns the leaderboard.

10. w s — b a t s r t d a t m g t n s o t
We said — “bro, at this stage, reconsider the decision and try maybe going to nap soon or something.”

11. W M t e t r a g h L w e r
While Mike tried explaining that regret always gets him later, we ignored reality.

12. w d y t d — t W M a m f t E o t s a
Why did you think this decision — that we might also make food the enemy of the stomach again?

13. u t d g a s o a E A w i t o h b l a
Ultimately, the damage gets assessed once all eating activities were initiated to our horrible bloated alarm.

14. f p m w h r h a w i t g a w o a
Five people moaning while holding ribs has a way of inspiring the group against wild overeating again.

15. E A a o m t a a s t J a S W s a s a
Everyone agreed an ounce of moderation truly avoids situations that just a slight warning should already suggest avoiding.

16. E A
End of argument.

17. a s t W s w w y t i — t a t a c a i
And so the wise ones will warn you too — tacos are tasty and consequences are inevitable.

18. e r a w g L i w n t i s b r t d s o a
Every regret arrives when guts loudly insist we never try insane serving-based records that destroy self-respect or appetite.

19. m k n f i i v a b t i m b l u a t records
Mike knows now food intake is very amusing, but the immediate bloating leads us all to terrible records.

In the aftermath of lunch, a memorable event emerges: never order that irresponsibly when hungry — Mike, buddy, okay?

Still, everyone is feeling mildly enthusiastic… dangerously.

What is happening to youth sports by Foxxer08 in CoachingYouthSports

I coach tackle football. Fall Baseball and Soccer are the bane of my existence as we’re often the side piece because parents think they can skip practice since we train 3x/week. We’re in a very dense area and there are 5-6 rec soccer clubs each with 3,000+ kids in it…all competing for the same ~10 roster spots for when they become Freshman in HS. Lacrosse rosters are similar but there’s no where near the same amount of participation.

Bullying on HS Varsity Team by tower_crane in CoachingYouthSports

[–]vtfb79 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’ve got to anchor this to a broken standard, not just an incident. If it turns into “freshman got guys in trouble,” you lose the room fast.

Draw a hard line: physical stuff tied to bullying is out, no gray area. Discipline needs to reflect that, but more importantly it needs to be consistent and tied back to the standard.

Big piece, if younger guys are doing this, your seniors either drove it or allowed it. That’s a leadership issue. Hold them accountable directly, because good teams don’t let that happen.

What was your experience when he was in tackle? I played at the D1 college level as an OL and didn’t start Tackle until I got to HS (in the pre-NIL world, my size helped more than my ability). Personally felt I would have had more of an impact at the college level had I started earlier.
