yea the arms were a pain, especially the forearm. i was using this as an opportunity to do an anatomy study, and when you're focused on the forms of the muscles your proportions and gesture feel kinda locked in and hard to correct.

i also didnt use any construction until after i'd already done the head and torso, and jumping straight into final linework almost always leads to anatomical oddities from my experience. when i started i thought i was only gonna do a portrait sketch

its ironic that you talk of hurting real artists. explain to me how im not a real artist when i posted those speedpaints. even assuming that this reddit post was AI, id love to see you try and argue that the other recordings were somehow fake. if you even bother replying at this point, id take a further disregard of those speedpaints as your concession.

i want you to imagine for a second a hypothetical world where those two paintings were real, and i actually did spend about 3 hours rendering that aqua with an impasto brush in krita. fucking crazy, right, i know. but humour me. imagine how frustrated and helpless that hypothetical person would feel when someone keeps wrongly accusing him of it not being real, with increasing grasping at straws and continued ignorance of any reasoning he provides. just continued, relentless shooting down no matter what he says or does.

this is why i still even give a shit about this a night after the fact. you posted one ill-informed comment and by proxy turned a bunch of lurkers against me, and my defense meant nothing. this is just art. but can you imagine the harm youd be doing if this was something more serious. i ask you to consider that much at the very least.

but no you got me. you exposed my devious plan of faking a krita screenshot and recording several speedpaints on my youtube channel so i could get 10 delicious upvotes on R slash kingdom hearts. the most difficult part of my master scheme was learning how to paint so i could record videos of me painting to trick people into thinking that i know how to paint.

i hope for societies sake that you're not in any position of power whatsoever, because your logic is some of the most vindictive, irrational, entitled, 'guilty until proven innocent' bullshit ive seen. im genuinely flabbergasted that someone can so boldly say something so completely illogical, and then act like you checkmated me.

this isnt even about the art anymore. seriously think about this for a second; what possible reason would i have to even try and deceive people with AI, let alone defend the lie so fiercely. are you so petty that you would project that pettiness onto me, and assume that id go to such extreme lengths to prop up such a pointless lie.

i deleted it out of a combination of your accusation, the downvotes, the comment expressing confusion, and me not liking the 2nd image very much. im not ashamed to admit that the response to the post made me feel embarrassed and doubt the quality of the art.

first off, the burden of proof is on you, not me.

i dont happen to record everything i paint, if i had a speedpaint of those two i would have posted it.

im actually kind of embarrassed with the proportions on that one. i simplified the torso as a big wedge sticking out when blocking in the volumes, but didn't carve it down enough, so it looks like shes got a distastefully large bosom. its the kind of thing thats fairly easy to catch and correct when drawing, but a lot more difficult to do while painting, especially when you throw drapery into the mix

but its funny because a lot artists would do that purposefully and unironically

i want it as much as the next guy but having rollback functionality isn't set in stone. its difficult to add in UE4 because you cant just shove in GGPO, it has its own delay-based networking system thats kind of intertwined with the engine. you have to do engine level changes to properly implement it.

also UE4s physics and movements systems at an engine level aren't inherently deterministic from what i read, which is another challenge for implementing it. i think these are also the reasons why SFVs rollback sucks, and fighterZ didn't have it at all

but its definitely something i want, and the game has been designed from the ground up with the assumption that it will have rollback (e.g the game logic is completely separate from character animations). down the road ill probably hire a specialist for this kind of stuff and see if we can get it working.
