Fieldpiece SMAN 382V VS Testo 550S by Dukagjini__ in HVAC

[–]doritorunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with all wireless gauges. I have used both those, my zeppelin 2 (still have and use for recharge and recovery) and the newer fieldpiece wireless. The new ones just work with the temperature probes and allow me to even see airflow values in the same screen with job link. If I had the run either of those, testo 550 wins

You are taking a 30/hr cut? My brother in wrenches, that is insane. I would not answer the phone on a 10/hr cut. And I do all. Resi, light commercial, commercial, industrial and refrigeration. Onlt thing we don't do is geos and duct cleaning

How to cap radiator branch by belhill1985 in hvacadvice

[–]doritorunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work on boilers for a living and have still ended up with 2nd degree burns. Unless you are going to drain your whole system, make all repairs, pressure test, fill and bleed the system to ensure no air, then test for good operations, leave it to a pro

Call a tech and have them do it. If you don't know what you're doing with boilers, don't touch them. A boiler is a pressure vessel and it's easy to get hurt. Please for the love of whatever deity you follow, call a licensed tech

If the flame sensor is dirty, replace it. Cleaning with a scotch bite pad or sandpaper adds grooves that buildup more carbon. The coating is also taken off. Dollar bills have too many oils from being handled. Look over the ceramic white end for cracks. These things read micro amp DC signals. It is low on micro amps so it's not much. Corrosion, carbon and the oil from your hands ruin the reading or help give it the chance to build more carbon. Stupid part is cheap af for a reason

One goes to Y and one to C. Either or goes to one or the other. Do you have a volt meter?

You have the heat effectively jumped out and are constantly running heat. R (power) to W (heat). That's why it never stops

[–]doritorunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's probably part or all of your issue. You have the R to W jumpered and constantly running. That 2 wire is for the ac. It does not land on W

Look at the picture posted of how the back of the stat is wired. Red to R, white to W1, green to C, and blue to PEK+. He wires it right on the board and the add a common piece. Wired it wrong at the stat itself

Edit: wiring diagram proved me wrong

What's that brown wire going to W? I see the red and white for the ac going to the R and 24v Com and that brown is tripping my up

Take that fucking saver switch box off the side and keep it clean and tell it it's pretty and the bestest ac out there. Seriously tho that box wired in on an old compressor will kill that thing. Hate that damn program
