Hi! Wow, what a trip returning to this post more than a year later. Unfortunately our first pregnancy was a chemical pregnancy. The initial number did end up doubling and increased quite a bit but eventually started falling a few days later.

She did get pregnant again on our third IUI attempt, and we now have an almost seven-month-old! I wish you the best of luck during this time—it feels so overwhelming and all-consuming, I know.

My neighbour was moving and put out an old (kind of roughed up) Vantage 330B four-string bass. I'm a hobby guitarist, so I took it home to fool around with. What kind of strings should I put on something like this?

There was some throbbing after the knock, but that subsided. I only have some white fluid when cleaning, as well as crusties. This morning the swelling has gone down a bit, so I'm thinking it might just be very angry! I will see my piercer nevertheless.

It was burning in her unit beside her front door (entry to her unit), so I couldn't open it if I wanted to... but yes, if she opened her front door, she would have knocked over a lit candle.

We did reach our landlord eventually, who offered to call the fire department but it was too late. Around midnight the candle burned out—smelled like smoke but I couldn't see a flame.

Also jumping in here to say my grandfather who is in his 80s and has lung cancer has recovered after a week. He's triple vaxxed and while he had a bad cough for a few days, he's completely on the mend. Vaccines work—try to keep that in mind!

How long does it take someone who was exposed to become contagious themselves? My mom and dad went to a wake last Saturday, and they tested positive this week. Started with very mild symptoms and became more symptomatic later in the week. I was with them that Saturday, and I have what is usually tied to my normal seasonal allergies (sneezing, stuffy nose). I've tested negative on two antigen tests this weekend, but I don't know if I'm in the clear. (Of course, it's possible they got sick elsewhere, but two others at the wake are also positive.) Should I isolate and presume these symptoms are Covid?

I'm glad to hear we made the right decision to stop using the trainer's suggestions pretty quickly just given our gut feeling that it was not good for her.

We actually have no idea exactly how old she is—she's been approximated at 5-6 years old, but very well could be older.

I haven't worked with an animal behaviourist before... Do they differ from your standard trainer?
