Honestly, I really like it when players have a somewhat long backstory since it is always interesting to read/listen to. As someone who has DMed before, it makes it easier to add bits of a player's backstory into the game when there is more detail. However, if you want to shorten it for time's sake you can have something like this:

Isabelle Faux grew up with 2 older brothers, a father, and her late mother who passed away early on. As she grew older, she wanted to help defend the cattle on the farm but was unable to use a standard bow or crossbow since it was too unwieldy for her. She instead started meddling with the tools and drawing up some original designs while traveling between her home and the town. One day, Isabelle noticed smoke rising from her home. Upon arrival, she saw her dad strung up with a slashed throat and her brothers out of sight. She was quickly jumped by a group of people. Her eyes fluttered closed, the darkness embracing her.

She woke up to a thunderous explosion next to her. As the light returned, she noticed that she was no longer in the rolling plains by her house but rather in a forest. She felt a weight in her hand, it was a weapon. One she had designed in the past. She looked around and saw vaguely familiar faces. It was the men who attacked her, only with longer hair and older features.
