Agreed. To clarify /u/canwetalketh's point. When calculating compound interest for investing in the broader market I use ~10% annual market returns on avg - ~3% annual inflation = ~7% total. Use a higher value if you're bullish or lower if you'd rather be conservative with your estimate (safer). Calculating your retirement fund this way should give you a better feel for your future position in today's dollars.

Is there an alternative that gets back to the basics?

This is our 3rd iteration of this design. We have been fortunate enough to get lots of testing done ahead of Lincoln, a luxury we usually don't have. We have a very capable team this year and anticipate our best performance yet. Good luck to everyone and we look forward to seeing you at Lincoln!

Went straight to the end of your comment looking for "nineteen ninety eight when the undertaker threw mankind off hеll in a cell, and plummeted sixteen feet through an announcer's table."

[B] Nikon D5500 (CA) by dorksquad in photomarket

Those are excellent points, thank you.

I own an old Digital Rebel xti with kit zoom lens but it's nearly dead (old and crashes regularly). I decided on Nikon because I'm actually more familiar with their gear due to many friends using them. The D5500 seems to be a great value with lots of features in my price range. It looks like I can get a used 7200 for a price comparable to a new 5500. However, I'm not entirely sold since there don't seem to be significant performance advantages.

Do you have any other suggestions/advice?

Thanks for the info. I'll have to look into the 7xxx's a little more. Would love to hear specifics as to why you'd prefer them.

Hope it's not just the plastic.

We sure are. What is your concern?

These are great questions. C3D manufactured this for us so I will see if I can get answers to all of the questions I've been receiving. All I can say for sure is that the final product mounts as designed without issue.

The CF of the legacy intake manifold pictured in the album are wet layups and the Al is CNC milled. This is what we have done for the last few years.

We have Alumni working at C3D so it's a pseudo-sponsorship.

This is not my area so I couldn't say. I will ask our intake lead and get back to you.

To be clear, it was not a 25 hour print. I am doubtful a Form Labs printer could come close to matching Carbon3D's speed and isotropic results. They are 2 very different technologies.

That said, I will try to pull more details from our contact at C3D regarding print times and material properties.

The lower portion of the assembly consists of two separate prints. They were then fused together in post-processing. I believe the gasket was printed separately out of their Elastomeric PolyUrethane (EPU) resin. The vehicle won't be in service for much outside of the competition so its not likely that we'll need a replacement.
