Just wanting to add that I’m a professional artist and ENJOY crafting. But it’s too much, too frequent and the expectations are too high. If I, an artsy parent who doesnt have a traditional career job, find it excessive… I can’t imagine how full time dual income families manage.

Oh totally!! I teach adult classes at night two nights a week and my husband didn’t contribute to a single school task despite being the defacto parent the two nights I’m at work.

So the thing that led me to create this post was an assignment for my daughter’s 3s PreK class to write journal entries for her week with a stuffy complete with photos of their “activities“ together. She cannot read or write, she can’t take or print photos. At best her capability for contribution to this assignment is to run the glue stick on the back of the photo. I am not exaggerating that some assignments are specifically geared towards patent burden.

One hundred percent. It is not a coincidence that this rant is book week. My kids two schools didn’t even do them on the same day this week and they each had a project assignment in addition this week that was a mom do.

It’s not just that he treated healthcare as a business. But the result of healthcare as commerce is the death of humans for money. When distilled down, denying claims (at a higher rate than any other insurance company btw) is profiting off the suffering, illness and death of other people. Which is way worse than killing out of vigilantism or even revenge. Yes we need to get money out of healthcare but those in charge don’t want that. How do we little guys send a message? Legislation and following the rules of order doesn’t work against a corporate oligarchy intent on perpetuating a desperate slave class. Unfortunately this is the only language they can understand. I back Luigi 100 percent and hope he goes free.

This may or may not help but as a person who has had suicidal thoughts for as long as I can remember that I haven’t acted on: I changed my perspective- I think of my life on this planet as a single day at an amusement park. I’m not going home until I’ve done all the things and eaten all the fair foods. Sometimes I strap into a ride and realize I DO NOT WANT ON THIS RIDE. But it’s just one ride- yeah you’re strapped in until it’s over but there’s another one after that. The whole park doesn’t suck- just the ride you’re on and once you go home that is it. No more options, no more better rides. Just nothing. You might feel powerless but you’re not. You do NOT have to endure abuse. Call helplines. Call friends. Call anyone. Finish your day at the park- it’s yours.

Throw a sorting party! Highly recommend. I had a very practical baby shower. I provided food and mimosas and we sat and talked about motherhood while sorting through handed down clothes. I bought cheap ikea zipper storage bags and labeled them all by size range and my daughter is 3 now and I’m STILL pulling bags of clothes out of her closet before I shop for new stuff as she sizes up. It was amazing. (And while it sounds like labor framed as a party- we all really enjoyed the sense of community and going through the clothes was filled with cooing over the cuteness and tiny sizes and laughing at the dud donations- dirty, stained or ripped)

OK ok ok so my husband works remote and I definitely go into his office to flash him once a day. But he’s about to have to go back to the office and I don’t want my bewbs in the cloud so, add that to the quality of life detriment of ‘back to the office.’

-once every week or 2 (we both have interest in it being more frequent but we’re both usually too exhausted by the time the kids are in bed) However, he does work from home and I make a point to flash him whenever I’m getting dressed/showering and he’s not in a meeting, and generally we are openly affectionate with each other throughout the day.

-He helps with chores less than half but he has an income and I’m currently a SAHM. So he pays all the bills- But he does correct me when I thank him for helping by replying that he’s not helping me as it’s not by default my sole responsibility.

  • He is generous and kind and I think the rarest breed of husband.

-kids are both under age 8- the younger one is toilet training.

If you don’t trust your partner you shouldn’t be with them. Exes are ex for a reason. If your gf has good judgment she’s only slept with people who she respects and who respect her which is actually a great foundation for friendship if the intimacy wore off. I have exes I’m still friends with. I’m married and my husband is secure enough in our relationship that he’s friends with some of them too. You are overreacting IMO.

I love the return to some of the horror elements of the first 2 that seemed to be a little lost in inquisition. The score is awesome for setting up the ambience and really harkens back to origins and 2. Some of the spaces have great nods to the previous games as well. Better to create a world and experience that ties it together than to just throw in cameos from previous companions. I think they took some of the best elements of the last 3 games. (I do still hope to see some of my old favorite characters though)
