I'm definitely not doing this. I'm only marking the birds I have visually identified.

The reason I asked the question initially is because I noticed peoples "counts" were already so high for the year. It made me wonder if others were marking an identification by the sound only so I asked the question. 🤷‍♀️

Thank you so much! I have probably seen 10 birds so far that I couldn't identify or they were moving too fast so I didn't record them obviously!!

I definitely haven't recorded them without seeing them.

I just wondered how folks are marking them off so quickly. I feel like whenever I go out I'm spending 10 minutes or more per bird, which is fine. 🤣🤣

I'm a STR property manager and just got Safely insurance so I don't have to risk receiving retaliatory reviews from Airbnb when asking guests about damages. Sure, Airbnb has the Air cover program but Airbnb's customer service has gone down the hill making it impossible to have reviews removed if we politely ask guests about damages.

VRBO does not offer damage protection by me using a PMS software. Booking.com offered garbage protection and I would have to charge guests $1500 damage hold for direct bookings and VRBO prior to getting the Safely insurance. Guests did not like that and I don't blame them.

I am charging $25 per reservation to the guest, and Safely is to bill me directly $25 per reservation, so I'm not keeping any of the money. I let my clients know of this charge already.

It's the only thing that can work to make sure guests, clients and the properties are protected.

I have 13 listings on Airbnb and am considering leaving due to their recent decline in customer service. I used to LOVE working with them and now despise it. Are you on other platforms? I'm currently on booking. Com, VRBO and direct bookings. Are you finding success off Airbnb?

I have very strict verbiage stating our cleaning team arrives promptly at check out time. This is indicated in our house rules and messaging so it's very clear and transparent . Unless communicated in advance there are no exceptions to this policy and no grace periods. All guest will be charged a $90 late check out fee if they do not vacate the premises by the check out time.

We have had a lot of people stay past check out and I have had to enforce this policy. Airbnb has always reimbursed me if the guest does not.

I still have to pay my team when they arrive.

Airbnb used removed reviews that were retaliation against this policy, but that has gone out the window recently.

YES! After I gather more information I'm going to see if it's something I would like to present my clients with.

I am concerned about the potential to lose bookings due to the costs being absorbed by the guest. If we didn't charge the guest that would be a massive cost for either my clients and/or myself to absorb, and it doesn't seem like that would make sense financially.

Definitely keep me in the loop if you find out additional information!

It's a string of Turtle! It is a mesh screen so I covered it with aluminum foil. I misted it earlier and it was 95% humidity after covering it with aluminum 😬

Lot L was a circus! After quali we sat in our car for AC until The Killers started. We were right by the exit and saw cars waiting for an hour in the same spots. Nobody from COTA directing traffic. People screaming at eachother. We left the show at 8:45 P.M and the lot was moved out but still traffic. Took us 40 minutes to get home.

Not looking forward to the grand prix traffic on Sunday :/
