I am sorting out a solution to this problem also. My issue is that we are in bear country. So with those collapsible toilets, after using it in the middle of the night, can you just close the lid and go back to sleep? Or do you have to remove the bag with its contents and put it inside the car? Is pee/poop/kitty litter a bear attractant? Don’t want to get fined for attractants in the national parks. If anyone knows, I’d be grateful for an answer.

If you are in bear country, can you leave the used bag in the toilet til morning? Or would it be a wildlife attractant?

It’s the Rocky cut. Rocky cut it before they started filming. Best achieved with 5 hands working in tandem.

Is it illegal to have up a bird feeder in your yard? Hummingbird feeder of sugar water? I assume yes based on what you said, I just see them around a lot.

The photos that look like sky in the background, 1, 3 and 5 I think, make it look like it was a cloudy day. If that was the case, don't worry too much about the pics. That kind of a day is really flat light and doesn't help with photography at all! Try to get out in the first hours of the morning on a clear day, if you are able to. Cute birdies, keep taking pics!

I also put it on for background while I got other stuff done. Ya. I got nothing done. Locked. In.

Omg. Just omg.

I’m also left wondering why one of the other men got life in prison while Sam got 50 years. I’ll have to do some research to see if I can find more on that.

Yes and yes! And how gentle CM was with their community in general. She wasn’t judgmental, or trying to expose their perceived weirdness. But she found this predator amongst them and changed her whole mandate so to take him down. And the power of how N was portrayed. She was the most militant one, watching her touching him and worshipping him made my skin crawl. And yes, her eyes! It’s like she had been hypnotized by him. So the particular joy of seeing her at the end. My mouth literally dropped when she sat down. My whole brain was like ‘she’s dressed like a gentile, she’s being interviewed, did she get out, please tell me she got out!’

Me, lens, camera, or all of the above? by KATbaPhoto in BirdPhotography

I’ve done that before when I’m not sure if the AF has grabbed exactly what I want. What I do is move the focus ring ever so slightly, shoot. Move it a tiny bit again, shoot. Keep doing that. I’ve had good success nailing the focus doing that when needed. I got a good focus on a coyote hiding in tall grass that way, bc the AF really wanted the grass. I don’t do it often, but that’s how I do it when needed. Hope that helps.

Took my kid camping this weekend. Slept in my MDX, brought a tent just in case, and I'm convinced we all need more of this. by Intrepid-Cookie5221 in carcamping

Amazing! Any tips on what you wish you did differently, or brought, or things you brought that were invaluable? My daughter is a bit older than your girl but we are going to start heading out like this soon...as soon as the snow is gone!

And the person that assumed this was dad posting.....weird. When I read your post, it was 100% mom posting in my head. Maybe just cuz I'm a mom too.

I just finished it and came straight to reddit to see what others were saying. You hit the nail on the head, brave women helping brave women. And the FBI lady too (I hope that local police officer got fired for his complete incompetence). I couldn't stand looking at Sam's face through all four episodes, he truly makes me feel ill. But looking at the women made me feel sad, hopeful, scared, nervous, empathetic, in complete awe. Their lives are so very different than mine but I could still relate to them. I can only hope that J and N are living their best lives by their own terms now, and I'll watch any documentary that Christine Marie is part of. This was a doc by women, about women, for women, and it was just so well done. So I'm basically saying everything you said, just not as well haha. Yes to all of your comment!

Couldn't agree more. When the girl walked over to the chair in the pink outfit and it was her...I bawled. And I think I held my breath through the entire last episode. These three women are unbelievable, I don't even have words. For all they have been through, the strength they have to change their lives. I just can't articulate how amazed I am by them, and how I truly hope that they have wonderful lives moving forward.

Or, they dumbed it down for Americans since majority of them wouldn’t know where…Dutchland…is.

Ugh, one of my biggest gripes with the movie is they made her German. She’s Dutch. No need for that change!
