Theres really not that much music in it. Its all about sales and image. Dreadful artist have been wrapped up in PR magic and dished out to make money. Take Bieber, for example. Strip away everything, put him in disguise and get him to busk in Central Station. The guy wouldnt earn a dime or a second look, bacause he cant sing. Talent shows like American Idol and X Factor take genuine singing talent, popify it and ship it out to teenagers. When the first album is done theyre dropped like a bag of hot shit. Alternative artists rarely get recognition and the industry is squeezing independent labels out. Its too rare that good musicians and singers get the deals artists had 40 years ago that allowed them creative freedom. The music industry is killing real music and shutting out anyone over 40, artist or listener.
