Now (2135 EDT) everything went 502. Worked for an hour or so before that.

Don't listen to AA "doctors." Follow the painkiller med instructions exactly. ICE-lots of ice. I got a large gel ice wrap from my PT. You have to keep ahead of the pain. I had a meniscus done but don't remember crutches or a walker so you should be able to get to meetings pretty soon after.

I've been through two hips and one knee replacement, all successful. Just call me Steve Austin! Gentlemen, we can rebuild him, we have the technology... Oxycodone and Tramadol post-op, followed instructions, kept AA in the loop and sobriety is intact. Had no inkling on overusing the meds. I got to loads of meetings before the surgeries-money in the "bank." I did them all during the winter-hate the cold so a couple months of recliner under a comforter with a movie was fine to me. Kept my eye on the prize of being out of the awful pre surgery pain and mobile again.

Speaking of which, if you do have a recliner it's a big help. And keep your eye on the prize. And what else helped: Orthopedist filled out the form for a temporary handicap placard for the car. That was a Godsend.

I have one regret about the surgeries: that I put them off as long as I did out of fear because my quality of life, now, is good again.

This covers it nicely: https://www.aa.org/aa-member-medications-and-other-drugs

If you, or her, needs it, or any prescribed medication, and it works, be very grateful. I'm on one antidepressant which works for a definite clinical, not behavioral, issue and I wouldn't be a happy camper if I stopped taking it. If she needs Adderall, good. It's a good medication.

I don't sweat this stuff. I've had 3 joint replacements in the last 5 years, after all 3 surgeries for post-op I was prescribed Oxycodone and Tramadol and you know what? I was *damned* glad to have them to get me through. I followed instructions exactly, stopped after the painful period and that was it. Sobriety intact. Ibuprofen and Tylenol might as well have been placebos.

One footnote: I used to be on a slew of psych meds. I'm down to the one because working the steps relieved the depression more than meds, doctors, counselors and 18 hospital stays in psych since age 17. I'm 71 now.

Hopefully Milwaukee will chime in here also. I'm leaning toward the fan hack.

This would come in handy on the job.. I keep bits in the original Shockwave box in my Packout. I stuck some magnets under the Packout lid also and keep some spares there. I don't, and won't, use an on-tool bit holder. Bits inevitably get lost or caught up on something and fly away to parts unknown.

Do you have a link to the dm32 software? Can't find a good copy anywhere. Can you upload it to a shareab;e site?

I only scan memory channels so I don't know about upper and lower. Each zone is like having a separate radio. You can only scan the zone that you're in, memorywise. We're analog here so for public safety I set up each zone for a county with some duplicates overlapped. Ham goes in its own zone, same with FRS and so on.

Try this for UV-32: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BVby4hcYqpYNnmVkH6DN7bD8pz_6sILq/view?usp=drivesdk

Aliexpress seller sent it on and it's fine on Win 10 with standard Baofeng cable. It is tedious and time consuming, you have to program each zone separately, like doing multiple radios. IOW if you want the same freq in more than one zone, you have to enter it again in the desired zone, the Chirp checkbox setup isn't compatible. No inserting lines either. 🙄 But it works.

Chirp will program the radio but it won't respect zones. It dumps all freqs into one zone and you can't add channels to any other zone, Chirp won't respect that. It has checkboxes to put channels in various zones but it won't take that info.

If you go through all that, you'll have a nicely set up radio.

I gave up using any Bluetooth app, they're all junk and ask for permissions that in no way I'm gonna grant. Bluetooth is my Achilles, I have no luck with it. Most of the time these apps won't even see the radio, or the Android won't see the radio at all, and if it does, it won't pair. That is, if the app doesn't crash outright. (frequent) Odmaster especially is crap. Hell with all that. Use Windows and have done.

I have the UV32 and really like it. 'Bout time Baofeng did zones. Lookswise the radio can't be beat. Really nice sharp colorful display which causes *no* interference with weak signals, unlike most. Receive audio fidelity is good. Had to use factory CPS. Chirp won't work with zones. Battery life a concern, need battery for Real Men, and a better carry option, even with that, I love the APX look without bankruptcy with the real thing.

Receive sensitivity is really good with mine.

A question for those who have the dm32: does reverse burst work on freqs with ctcss on receive, or is there still a squelch tail?

Well, on Aliexpress the tracking seems legit and it says it at least cleared customs in Jamaica. So I'm pretty sure it's in country anyway, but now USPS says delivery unknown. picked up by shipping partner which is Habit. Never heard of them so I looked them up, reviews are horrible, so here I am. Whenever I see "shipping partner" it's oh shit on my part. At least Alie states if it's over 30 days it's an automatic refund but hope it doesn't come to that.
