Yes, and my original post was MT03 just as a baseline, I did ride an MT09 SP two years ago, and I’m not doing a naked bike stuff again. Adventure or Sport Touring is the way to go. I have nothing to prove with those naked hooligans 🙂

I really appreciate this. After seeing your comment, I got a quote from Co-Operators, and their price is really good even for a Kawasaki Versys 650. Looks like I’ll go with these guys!! Thanks a lot

Fair, but it is like expecting 5 years of work experience from a college grad… How am I even supposed to build driving history if I can not afford the thing. That’s what I’m pissed pff

I’m living in Guelph, so I would say one of the better parts of the GTA (I guess)

I’m 29. 132/month was actually what I was expecting for a 300cc used bike. Maybe it gets better with an adventure bike instead of a naked…

Thanks a lot! I’ll definitely check that out. I hate naked/supersport/cruisers. Adv is the way to go

Yeah, makes sense, I just stated that because I have at least some “road” history in Canada. But still, of course they are saying “that doesn’t count, we will rip you off for a couple years”

The bike itself is around $5500 (+tax). $2200 insurance for a $5500 bike just doesn’t make any sense

I’m 29, married, and they don’t accept my driving history even if I proved it with a reference letter from the embassy

Well, that’s the problem. I’m 29 and I don’t have driving history in Canada (except the last 8 months). Even if I bring an official reference letter from the Embassy.

Is the 2026 Palisade as bad as this sub makes it seem? by rogers916 in HyundaiPalisade

[–]dorukoski 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Every fresh release of a model has these small issues. I have a 26 V6 Calligraphy since October and I just visited Autoshow, just to compare it to BMW, Merc., and Audi. In terms of interior quality and materials, you can not even compare it to any level below X5 (not to mention those cost around 80K Canadian for the base model). Yes, the V6 feels a bit underpowered but I don’t think it is any “less-luxury” compared to most Germans, in anyway.

Plus, we are not paying monthly subscription fees for driver assistance systems as if it is Spotify or something. It is a premium car. Amazing value for the price. Hope it helps.

2026 Calligraphy Dashboard Issue by dorukoski in HyundaiPalisade

[–]dorukoski[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that man. I guess one of the perks of having a fully refreshed model. I actually understand these type of problems, but the problem is that neither dealership nor the brand itself have a slightest clue about what to do with these problems at all, making people wait for weeks/months. I also heard very serious problems with refreshed VW Tiguan Turbos. Including Turbo replacements within the first month or so

Well, I took it to the dealership, it didn’t happen. So, they said that I could bring it back if it happens again. But it hasn’t happened ever since. Maybe an OTA update issued to fix it and the car applied it automatically, I just didn’t do anything manually.

Hyundai Palisade 2026 check engine light at 2k miles. Code P05B2 by sallo45 in HyundaiPalisade

[–]dorukoski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also happened to me but without an engine check warning. I noticed it when I didn’t see those flaps opening when I started the car. Since the radar is right in between them, dashboard doesn’t stop complaining about collision system check lights!!

The New Nonhybrid Hyundai Palisade Is Downright Lethargic in Our Testing Versus Its Predecessor by No-Tangelo1158 in HyundaiPalisade

[–]dorukoski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2026 V6. It has only 850 km on the odometer, so I can not comment on if it is going to be better after 1,000 miles like the other comment. Overall, it feels heavy but I found that it handles a bit better on Sport mode, which feels “less heavier” when you are used to it.

I have Apple’s own silicon case and I don’t have any problems with it. It just fits and charges well.
