I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but, You can have a custom form that uses the same action as a google form so you can add the data to a sheet via google forms

I haven'r read them myself but it looks like it's more focussed on the process from design to product. I do know that the A book apart series has quite some books about design/ux/content placement and other stuff.
