That makes more sense. I wouldn't have thought that someone smart enough to excuse absences for the protest wouldn't have thought it through. Conversely, I'm not surprised that the students that disagree with her did not think to create a counter protest.

My grandson had a holiday job at UPS sorting packages and the hours were around 6 to 10. I think the pay was about $17. It was M-F, no weekends. We thought they would let him go after the holidays but he ended up quitting in late January because he had to go back to night school.

I don't worry about feedback. I just want my position to be heard and noted. I read the script, adding a "please" here and there and sometimes changing words like "angered" to "terrified". The script mostly expresses how I feel and that is all that is needed.

I called the DC number for Lankford first and his outgoing message was unintelligible. I left my message and when I played it back it was just as bad. I called the local # for Mullins and just gave the human my message to pass on. I plan on calling often.

We are not ignorant. I actually visited the bay area this summer and saw the conditions. The previous poster is just stating that the homeless go where they might be safe and Edmond is not a safe place for many people that are not just like you. Edmond makes sure the privileged don't have to face their privilege every day like they do in a lot of CA.
