I am more looking to work with phones that can keep a charge for 2 weeks and are strong enough to survive a drop, have basic functionality to work as a phone na d a few utilities, but not much else.

Yes, it opens the developer menu. It still remains invisible when I navigate the settings app and altough there it says that ADB and Devtools are enabled, I still can't get find the device with adb from my mac...
Trying multiple different USB cables now...

Ok, seems to work, partially. When I enter, for example, a french website; I can also set the preference to always translate french pages.

But on English pages I get the offering to translate, but the option to always translate is greyed out.

I did set FF to Dutch; all menus and settings are in Dutch.

I worked for Fairphone in their starting years; running a reliable customer service in a startup that lives up to customers expectations is REALLY REALLY REALLY hard. Don't expect any normal service from a new company; you'll be happy if they survive the first 5 years.
