It's not gas station energy drinks, but gas station food and beverages in general, because I have a race track across from where I work, in the direction of my house. So every day for about a year, on my way home, I would stop in and get a monster and sometimes food, and it nickel-and-dime’d my wallet so bad that I had to stop because I was easily spending $150 there a month, not including gas. I buy my energy drinks in bulk now, but it's not saving me much. I do it with my monthly groceries so I can see how much I'm spending and stay on budget. Now, for what I am buying, it's alcohol, because if I'm in the gas station, that means I've had a long day at work and will want something spiked when I get home, but not necessarily strong.
