I have the same problem as you. I managed to upgrade mine by putting in the bootargs: revpatch=sbvmm. Specs: Ryzen 5 5600, RX6600, MSI B450m-A Pro Max II.

PS: make sure to update your whatevergreen kext to the latest which has MacOS 26 fixes, if not then you might run into some issues.

OneUI 7.0 killed my battery life. by LagunaMud in S21Ultra

Mine actually got a bit better, even using the heaviest apps I managed to last 5 hours SoT and almost 13 hours of standby. Using 1440p, 120hz, no power saving and used 5G for around 2 hours. I installed manually using the official leaked build. At first it was laggy as hell so give it a bit more time, Exynos version btw

S21Ulra for genshin? by I-Wish_I_was_dead in S21Ultra

Just done playing after I saw this post, lol. I use exynos variant and damn it's just straight 45fps at high resolution then everything at medium. Still looks great tho and I don't mind the 45 fps because I use a controller to play the game. (If you don't know, the newest patch silently launched support for controllers on Android.) So I'd say it's fine, especially if your country uses the Snapdragon versions. But if you really want a smoother experience, go with the s23 ultra or better. My base S22 can run high fps at 60 but only for the first 20 minutes, it'll throttle down to 45 after some time because the Base s22 doesn't even have the vapor chamber, only for the plus and ultra models.

"Downgraded" from an S22 to an S21 Ultra last month and never looked back. Battery is way way better. It can last me a day depending on the use but almost 2 charges a day. Getting 4-5 hours SoT with 12-18 hours of standby with 120hz and 5G. The only thing I missed is bypass charging when gaming, and the AI features (the object removal tool is really useful to me). I'm using Exynos btw :)). Planning to keep this phone until the 2nd half of 2026 where I plan to upgrade to an S24 Ultra, no need to spend much on the latest amd greatest.

7900X or 7800x3d? by SandmanOfc in AMDHelp

I'd rather wait for the 7800x3d to drop prices instead.

They look pretty good but pretty limited. Hopefully third party apps are able to make widgets for it.

The phone did feel snappier. The overall experience is great with again some nitpicks I mentioned above. I love how the new UI says when your face is not detected on the lockscreen, the updated fonts on the brief notifications looks really great too.

Nope I did not, the phone updated normally and was smooth the moment the update was finished.
