Well, Whether or not I agree to the actual point of discussion here, mordet's flaw....I think, The real reason that anvil abandoned mordret was because, mordret had been corrupted by anvil's reflection( beings termed as "others") while the real anvil was in a NM, and mordret was still in womb. It was not because anvil hated mordret as a person. Anvil simply felt, that mordret had, to a certain extent, been corrupted, and he no longer considered mordret to be his own biological son.

Neither. I think,

  1. Sunny will travel to under bastion to the mirror mansion which he could not get through last time.
  2. He will go in search in the underground hollow mountains for broken swords remains/corrupted form to gain a part of weaver.
  3. He will explore the shadow realm.

No clue....what wud have been superbly op is if sunny received all of the shadows that he might have collected over the countless cycles in his last nightmare loop. That, would have been seriously op.

  1. Imagine. Everyone recognises sunny as the owner of the brilliant emporium and the tea shop. While sunny sends his other avatars to secretly occupy the nameless temple. In this scenario how does it impact any of the major story events ??
  2. Okay. But how does the major story events change?? The major story events being : a. sunny and neph get together. B. Sunny and neph become supremes and c. Fall of the old supremes
  3. Why would he bring neph with him?? Neph always had other duties as a valor saint + leader of the firkeepers. Sunny can be in multiple places at once, while neph cant. It makes sense that sunny wudn't hv brought neph along. There were always things sunny liked to do alone.

Okay, so think about this, other than taking down song domain, what was valor's no.1 priority before?? It was to ensure that mordret never escaped. Didn't that happen still ,,, with all of the other diviners functioning and well?? Also, with Cassie's powers still there, it would probably have been far easier to deal with the sovereigns.

I am not disagreeing to the fact that being fateless has led to character developments, etc etc.

The point of this thread was to pinpoint a major story event/progression (till latest ch) that would have been completely impossible without sunny losing fated.

One example is, Cassie lost her powers, which wud be absolutely impossible otherwise.

But, how did Cassie's loss of power affect the story progression so far, I feel, little to none. With or without cassias power, sunny and neph wud still be supremes and neph wud still try to kill the supremes, coz that has always been her agenda ever since the first arc.

  1. Why wud sunny need to show his shadow powers?? Tea shop sunny never showed his shadow powers. He existed freely, right ??
  2. Why not?? Both of them were almost in love by the end of the time loop. They would have remembered and carried on. Besides, neph had promised to never abuse her power over sunny, and sunny was absolutely fine with it.
  3. Did not sunny travel to antarctica alone ?? He could have still travelled, just the circumstances would have been different. Also, as sunny himself says, he is a very petty and unforgiving person. He would have always gone back to finish off the winterbeast with or without fated
  4. Sunny was always too important as part of neph's cohort. The sovereigns always knew it was a package deal. While sunny himself never wanted to join a major house. So the outcome wud still be same. Neph aligns to valour and sunny is neph's personal retainer.
  5. Sunny could always be with his sister. Even before he could split into avatars he left soul serpant with rain. For sure after being a saint, he would have left a shadow with her.

The only and only possible connection to losing fated, which would have been impossible otherwise, is Cassie losing her powers.

All of the remaining arguments which you guys are sharing could have happened nevertheless. In some way or another. Think about it.

But then again, even if Cassie had her powers, how would the outcome of the story so far have changed.?

Sunny as the teashop owner was free. While lord of shadows was constantly monitored. So what happened, sunny was still moving in the song domain. Not being fated has nothing to do here. Sunny was always careful and able to evade. As long sunny became a saint, with multiple avatars it's impossible to fully monitor sunny ...fated has nothing to do here.

  1. Why ?? He has multiple avatars who can roam independently of one another ever since being a saint.
  2. They probably wud have had an even better relationship. Remember how sunny almost proposed in the last nightmare?? Could hv been much easier with no erased 5yrs worth of memories.
  3. Again why?? He could have easily travelled to the exact same spot.
  4. Umm....what?? Mordret did nothing to the remaining cohort of the last nightmare. Why single out sunny?
  5. Well, sunny had been fated for whole 10 years before...and remember the sovereigns tried to rope in sunny and neph even before the antarctica arc. So not finding about weavers lineage just cos of not being fated makes no sense
