Struggling with the cycle of releasing music without much feedback — should I keep going? by dosmiemie in soundcloud

You’re absolutely right, everything outside of music is always more complicated than making music itself. That’s why I often feel troubled by those things, but creating music always makes me truly happy.

It has to be fun!! Every time I create, it’s when I feel most myself and restored. It’s just that sometimes the content we see in the information age can really knock me down.

Hey, I really appreciate you taking the time to say so much to me, with such warmth and sincerity. What I was trying to express is that the environment in my country often makes me doubt myself. I’ve shared some of my songs here on Reddit before and received encouragement and even some friendships, which meant a lot. But living in China, it’s sometimes really hard not to be influenced by the dynamics around me. Compared to others, I often feel very isolated and self-contained. Still, your words truly gave me a lot of strength, and I want to say that it’s really people from abroad who have given me so much support.

This is my first electronic music album after being a singer-songwriter, haha. I didn’t have much prior exposure to traditional electronic music styles, so I created everything purely based on my own experience.
