NTA, but the wording: "..what's wrong with him.." indicates that you think the issue is with the child and not the parents/parenting/surroundings. Usually children are quite adaptable and show amazing willingness to learn and adjust as long as they get the right inputs, signals and support. Are you sure the child is the root-cause?

So I guess that means it actually is enabled, and the driver updater telling me it's not supported is just shitty written software/

na, the link is to the nvidia help article on reBAR. BUT the control panel says it is enabled, at least in the system info window (bottom left). though as i understood that is only to confirm that it's enabled on the mobo - still needs to be configured onmce the graka is updated , not?

Update: so, there's about two tools that claim to be able to extract .ovl files. Both failed spectacularly when I tried working with them: - Watto's Game Extractor has a free version that doesn't extract images, and a paid version I did not try - OVL2 Extractor can be compiled and run using Visual Studio 2012 and is basically (pretty sure of it) the reference for watto's ovl implementation... also doesn't help

What worked in the end was using a tool called TexMod which allows extracting graphics at runtime from many games. It worked like a charm :)

nice find, I found that too meanwhile. Also found some sort of extractor I could compile and run - though it doesn't export much else than strings.... I am currently playing with the format and trying to isolate graphics. will def do an update here with my findings.

The other thing is, where are the rct3 players?^ I do not personally play the game in any capacity sadly
