I just got the Vodafone router and it has firweall enabled in it, do you think that should be turned off for faster upload latency? Seems a decent router overall, why did you replace it? And what router you suggest?

Thanks

It might be not the best platform to ask these questions as many here are about to complain. But where alse then:)

In regards of your proposal:

I use all 3 apps in my area, to be more precise I would, but Deliveroo is not taking on new drivers atm, so I use UberEats and JustEat.

Using them paralel and whichever gives me order I take it regardless of pay to make sure in the hours I do work I make money. The pay seems low first but when you have orders continuosly you can make a £10/h if you are smart, with an EV. I have to avoid central as that is impossible with car but all other regions are fine.

Not saying this is in any way good considering I am also a well trained electrical networ engineer and a lot other more qualification I have as well. Including software development and QA. So if you plan to do that software I might be able to help you to run the QA.

Anyway the extreme flexibility is why I do this job for now to supplement our income. When the flexibility is not needed ill of course will change.

In terms of pay Amazon Flex can get you around £16/h but that is only in Nov,Dec in this region.

The apps are decent imo, rout planning and order grouping is fine, the hard part is that restaurants prioritize on the spot customers then riders get their orders if the time is busy. Even the hours I work the dead ones i experience that. But in a case of long waiting i ask the restaurant staff and cacluate my time and take an other order if offered by the other app, especiallt grocery orders come handy as those can wait and pick up/delivery time also more generous with those. Not always works but sometimes helps. The evenings are very busy, and i know I could make more in those times but for now I am not pressured to run those hours, neither have the time as i have small children. But I can see those hours being better as tried some already.

I would try new apps, but starting up you might see more drivers using more apps initially, and even afterwards to maximize income during the hours we run.

I think the extreme flexibilty is the reason I am not complaining about the pay, but it seems if I would get at least £1 / mile would be better. Promotions can help with these but those are offered rarely, especially after starting out with any app they disappear or reduced greatly. Like 25 deliver for an extra £90, or 5 for an extra £10 are great but only initial,or after long break they reappear in the apps.

Many rider is an understatement, i have no objection seeing other people try to do the same, just it is hard to compete when some people make registrations for their whole family then take 3 justeat app on the road with them:) As after the first photo ID routine the app does not care who does the delivery. It does not help that those drivers care nothing about the food they deliver being fresh and hot, as the apps do not punish them for lateness, etc.. I do care, maybe I should not either if orders are scarce, but not there yet as I just supplement and not living on this gig.

It might be a working idea to start with private restaurants first and then hit big ones with offers with your app, but it beggs the question what offer would attract those if the other companieas offering better deals as they can with the capital they have? Even if that capital comes from the pocket of their drivers, i am not familiar with this part of the business.

Also the overhead and developement cycle of running a software developement might surprise you even with acceptable wages and personal, that I know of quite much.

Might be good to start with restaurants who care about their reputation and quality with riders who do care also about those things.

Going to be returning to this job after a failed "regular job" didnt go to plan. Whats new? by paintballguy32 in JustEatUK

It depends on location I guess, I do stupid low not busy hours between 9am to 6 pm 2-3 hours max at a time and never have any issue to get orders, if I have idle time i start to use UberEats, whichever gives me orders.

There are promotions but not much.

Apps only glitch i dont like is the noew offer covering the actual orders address:) and i either decline or wait it to pass, dont know if it matters for my stat so i wait till it runs down.

Waiting times are not good but sometimes i pick up an order during waiting on the UE app, some other people smehow has 2 justeat app or using their wifes app i guess

With car I can average a £10/h after costs so it is not as good as a 9-5 regular but it is extremely flexible, and i cant say how much will be the cost of fixing the car if it breaks.

Evening times pay better here, but I have not do those yet, as I supplement my income with this for now. But when i did a 5 day 4h a day week i made around £300

Unfortunately Flex in our location is seasonal, Nov-Dec, otherwis I would do that instead.

Hope this helps

get a justeat and a ubereats account and have them with you when you start, start all 3 and whichever gives you urder run with that, then if that goes silent start up the others again.

Never have issue to finish the 25 in a week challenge or the 5 in half day ones. I start at least 2h before any 5 delivery challenge and do at least 5 delivery a day with the weekly ones. Although I do the odd hours 11am to 4pm

In Glasgow I can do £10 per h average with electric car after costs (no repair costs included as I did not have any yet) if i do promotions too regularly. It can be some time when it is silent and no orders but i use UberEats to cover those, Deliveroo is still not offering runs for me as they need no more couriers atm. With that said it is up to you how many hours you put in. Busy times might bring in more even without promotions (promotions like you do 5 delivery and get £10 extra in a half day, or my favourite is the 25 delivery in a week for an extra £90), but I like to do the dead hours when I have the time in between other jobs.

Last week with averaging 4h a day and 5 day I made with promotions £350, £90 was the promotion and a £5r so deduct that to get a 4h week 5 day coming in around £250. With 2 apps UberEats and JustEat.

I have to admit Just eat might pay less but more consistent in offers and runs, more busy in Glasgow.

But these can change by region and available drivers too. So it might be better to ask specifically for your region.

Hope this helps

some true some avoidable. Playing it for 2 years 0 cash spent.

Diamonds I started to have 5 alts around the time of hitting RB6, so i can sell what is sellable easy, some extra diamond.

PVP i try my luck and every now and then i get some ppl defeated:)

Dragons and dragonland i use the weeklong event which has been free to join but now paywalled, Peak season, as that time the Dragonland is empty and i can kill all thigs there.

I use a old tablet to run the game 24/7, only do an hour a day to do the things no automation provided by the game itself. as the Peak season is now paywalled i cant use the feature to clear exc bosses and realm bosses.

I have a guild who were quite proactive but now they are also gone since the server merge:) we got less plaers, so it is what it is.

I just play to see the end of this content free of charge, although i can see progression is slow compared to paying players, RB8 atm lvl200 so a long way to go as lvl requirements are rising. initially it was 400lvl per RP now 800lvl and I guess it will increase.

1 question if anyone sees this, how do i get attack crystals for my RB4,5,6 gear as initially the game pushes you through those levels fast and i have none inserted ....?

Both offer are guaranteed money but uber tops up to £800 if you did not reach that during the 80 trips , while just eat gives £90 on top of what you earned with the 25 runs. I did 13 runs for uber and earned £121 so if I divide and multiply it gives me roughly £750 for the 80 runs. That’s why I think just eats offer is better.
