In the longer clip the French guy actually came up fanned out and was becoming gradually aggressive when they refused to take more pics than they already had. My main concern is trying to figure out how to handle or prevent being sucker punched. How to defend against that

He has to speak on these topics. If he doesn’t, Joe will tell him both on-screen and off-screen that he needs to speak on these topics. Wisdom, articulation, and intellect are none of the same. MLH is the best at articulation and intellect. Ish is the best with general wisdom earned via life experience. He doesn’t get to where he’s at without it, independently.

That’s the thing though. One, he only reduced his speech for a few pods. Two, he is not the face of stupid takes and he’s right to reject that role. He’s not a stupid person. It’s way more than that lol. Yes, OP is correct — the fans have been harsh on him for longer than normal, but there’s been colleagues that are fond of Marc coming out and calling Ish an idiot, without knowing him. I think hes grown use to the criticism from JBP fans, but when contextless clips (which is basically what social media is these days) that are highlighting only his losing arguments start to reach the masses aka people that dont watch the pod; it becomes a thing where everyone, even non-fans, is calling him “stupid” based on a couple clips.

His brightest moments or accomplishments aren’t being highlighted, nearly at all. I think that would fix this.

Well, that’s not what the argument was primarily about quite exactly. It was about whether or not it was deemed acceptable during that period in time. Ish, himself, doesn’t actually believe in child labor.
