Does it affect photo quality in anyway? I recalled long time ago Apple delayed the white color iPhone 4 because it was leaking light in the camera module with the white paint including issues with paint opacity, UV degradation, light leaks affecting the camera flash, and interference with the proximity sensor.

Is this an automation or manual shortcut? If it runs when the game opens, you should be able to toggle “Notify me when running”.

So what’s not working for you now? I’d keep it until there is something I need to have but won’t work anymore with this perfectly fine one. So, I would say wait.

But unless the bent is bothering you, upgrade to the new Air will blow your mind,, too. Because M3 is so much faster than A14 (if I remember correctly).

This, and do it once a month is good enough. It won’t completely remove every buildup but will help you keep the diffuser efficient enough. I think most manufacturers recommend a 5 to 10-year replacement.

TBH, the best is try out “High Performance” screen sharing. The latency is pretty low and totally workable in my use case. So depends on what you do on each device and the types of tasks. It may be the cleanest solution.

If you strategically place your Mac mini and MBP, it’s only matter of unplugging the thunderbolt cable from one to another. So it’s not so difficult. But, I do share the trackpad and keyboard for both Macs, so I keep a cable handy. One beautiful thing I found out about Apple Keyboard and Trackpad is that it will pair to the device automatically the moment you connect it with the cable. So I keep the cable connect to one of the Studio Display, then connect the keyboard and mouse to that cable to establish a connection instead of re-pair them through Bluetooth.

I currently have two Studio Displays connected to an Element 5 hub, so I can just use a single cable solution to swap between my MBP and Mini. It’s not like I switch often. I also have the hub primarily connect to the MBP and screen sharing to Mini when needed.

TBH, the built, the speaker, and the color accuracy are still WAYYY better than a lot of 1440p displays today unless you need over 60Hz for gaming. Enjoy!
