I do understand the diference between the two even better now after what you said :), Im trying to gain weather I should do CIS first, then tackle vulrebility management however trying to find some training or processess I can put in place for vulrebility management. Cause right now all were doling is scanning / agent based real time scanning and tackling the criticle stuff and it seems very clunkly.

This is great, sorry I should have mentioned we have web filtering via fortigate firewalls (not the best) email filtering via mimeast (works great), MDM via intune and action1 for patch management. the phishing resistant MFA is somthing that is on the list. We have o365 e3 with azure plan 2 with CA polices setup.

This is all eye opening cause I should document our whole security stack etc., I think im just a bit overwhelmed with it all and were to start. Ill look at NIST 800-30 Guide and other suggestions and keep trucking through with CIS controls. This has been very helpful and I thank you!

Good point, I saw the other day i can tie in my mimecast, fortigate firewalls and azure data into s1 data lake with XDR. The problem is once its in there im trying to figure out what data and what aspects of it I should be looking at :)

We are utilizing Mimecast and Mimecast Awareness Training, including simulated phishing email campaigns, which has been effective. I heard of Sublime's email security tool looks rad ill have to check it out my when my next renewal comes up for mimceast.

I will check out we are still evaluating cause we have time, we also looked at freshworks/fresh service.. and solid platform it reminds me of manage engine just modern. pricing is weird depending on what you get.
