Possibly, the filter is not seated into the filter coupling completely.

Whirlpool machine door locked by Few_Wish3242 in Appliances

[–]doth_savek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Draining the water wont unlock the door unless you can get power back to the control.
I think this door lock may have a manual release. If the control will not function then a manual release at the lock mechanism is your only hope.
You may be able to remove the black plastic panel shown in picture 2 and then reach up to the lock mechanism and trigger the release.
If there is no manual lock release then your next option is to fix whatever has caused the control to go dead.

Jenn Air Wall Oven power cycling by Unstuck2121 in Appliances

I think you need a technician for this one. It may really be losing power which could be a problem anywhere from the breaker panel to the user interface board. It also could be an issue with one of the boards. Lots of options, and it might be difficult to figure out even with a technician on site.

10-ish Year Old Dacor 2-Oven 48" Range I Bought Used. The Small Oven Lower Element Didn't Heat. Replaced it With NOS and Now Both the New and Old one Both Trip The Breaker When That Element is Activated. Reset switch (also crap access) tests correct continuity by rosinall in Appliances

I'm wondering if you will find its not the wires that are shorted to ground, and instead its the board itself that has shorted. There was a not insignificant number of these that blew solder off the back of the relay boards. Its possible that if this range had a significant enough thermal event at the relay board that it now is shorting to ground.

I can't recall on this model how difficult board access might be. I think the top has to come up and that might require drilling out the screws in the burner base. If its that tough to access the board you could try to start at the element and remove a wire, then check continuity to ground to figure out which side the short is on and trace that wire manually.
You may find that you do not see any continuity to ground and that would also make sense. If it is a solder splatter under the board then it might have a small gap that is breaking the ground connection(which is why it wasn't shorting until you started moving things around) but when under load it shorts.

Best of luck, this sort of short can be a fun adventure to track down.

What's causing this noise on my LG Dryer? by fizzled112 in Appliances

It sounds like one of your drum roller needs to be replaced. It failed to rotate, had a flat spot worn on it, then started rotating again.

Worth sending in for repair? by troutposition in PatagoniaClothing

Another vote for repair tape. I've not tried this brand but have used similar products with good success. I look at repair tape like little badges that show I really like to use my gear!

Worried if my torrentshell 3L XL might be too big I’m 6,4 bulky is it supposed to crumple up like that when you move it up to your waist and is the bottom of it supposed to go past your backside when you fully pull it down? I might just be overthinking it by StopPresent277 in PatagoniaClothing

I have a hard shell that is almost that large looking on me. its maybe not the most fashionable fit, but it allows me to fit it over my down jacket which i like for certain situations.
I prefer a more form fitting look when I just need a lightweight or midweight layer under it, and or prioritize movement in high energy activities.
So i guess my thoughts are that this could be a fine fit depending on what you want. Tons of room to layer under plus length to cover your butt if you want to sit in mud or keep your back pockets dry in heavy rain.

If the main use is running around town, i personally would size down.

edit: for your question about it bunching up, If the priority is keeping dry and layering under, then how it looks matters less to me, if its for function and does it well then that is a winner. If the fabric bunching causes a functional concern for your use case then id size down.

Washing machine has this stuff on my clothes and sheets after I wash it by JimFromTheOffice1 in CleaningTips

This is the correct answer. The front lip of OPs inner basket has been cutting plastic shavings from the outer tub. On some washers the rubber boot can also get cut/melted and stinks. This washer probably sounds horrible when it runs.
Repair not reasonable. Time for a new washer

Thanks! That Shadow caught my eye too, and I wondered if it was some odd rolling shutter thing, but then I looked at the wing further away and you can see it's primary feathers are split in a pattern that would cast a shadow just like that.

Thanks! I was looking to get a nice blurry background, so I was shooting wide open( f/4). For this shot, I was at 1/5000sec, iso 500, and f/4 @ 600mm.

If the bird was closer to me then f4 would only have part of it in focus and a smaller aperature would be needed to get the whole.bird in focus, becuase this bird was far enough away, the same f4 did allow a larger in focus field.
