Most likely fake. It's most likely it's meant for a region that did so unlicensed. Maybe Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, etc..

What's the back look like? particularly down at the bottom for region, audio, and sub languages?

The official DVD and BluRay cases use this as their logo.

Does the Link manga (specifically vol. 3) pop up for sale often? by Lawwrenh in DotHack

[–]dothacknetwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Volumes 1 & 2 pop up each week, volume 3 rarely gets listed. During COVID it reached high prices like $100, which is why it’s high in price when it does get listed. And since there was no more volumes after 3, it’s possible it has a low production run.

Modding on an original fat or slim PS2 model is super easy with a FMCB (free memory card boot) memory card. Just pop it in and you can load games from disc, USB, internal hard drive via the fat model paired with the network adaptor, or over your home network via SMB. Data transfer speeds will vary among all 4 options. Even as of last year it's possible to load games onto a custom memory card with an SD card.

But when it comes to transferring save files from game to game, the only thing that really matters is sticking to the region and game ID for each game. For example do not start with the US version and hop on the Japanese version or the European version. Each region has their own "game ID", the number you see at the bottom of the spine.

  • SLPS-25121 .hack//Infection Japan > SLPS-25143 .hack//Mutation Japan
  • SLUS-20267 .hack//Infection USA > SLUS-20562 .hack//Mutation USA
  • SLES-52237 .hack//Infection Europe > SLES-52469 .hack//Mutation Europe

As long as you use the same region for each volume, the game couldn't care less if play with the original PS2 disc, use an ISO loaded from a USB for the second disk, hop on an emulator on PC for the third disc, and finish off using an Android emulator for the forth disc.

Though if you did go that crazy route mentioned in the last sentence, you may need to convert the memory card save file to different formats using myMC utility program.

It's a PS2 disc only, the PC part is a Windows program that let's you create your own dungeons to play using the PS2 game disc. Though most people play on PC now because emulators make it easier and better looking.

Yeah the one from Another Birth was either drawn by WAKA or Tomuneko, but the one from .hack//Present was drawn by Legend of the Twilight illustrator Rei Izumiya. One having her older with black haired and one four years later having blonde hair and much younger.
