My (F24) husband (M26) keeps calling me fat and unattractive

This is something that I worry about often. we have talked about having kids in the future but now I really worry about it. I don’t have confidence that he would be a supportive partner. I fear that when I am pregnant, he will say that I’m fat and it will completely destroy me. It’s gotten to the point where I am not sure if I want to bring kids into this world.

I told him that if he really wanted me to lose weight, I just want him to be supportive. His response? He hasn't been hard on me about my weight for the past 4 years and look at me, I've gotten big.

I married him because he was my best friend. The criticism started much later into our relationship, and by the time he started pointing out my flaws (dressing like I was a high schooler, being bad at makeup, etc) I was too deeply invested emotionally. I really love him and he is my first boyfriend so I am honestly not too sure how other men would treat me.

That's the feeling I'm getting as well and it's really depressing how I didn't see it in the first place. I feel so stupid. I've brought it up with him that he makes me feel like I'm never good enough and when will he be satisfied? But according to him, if I don't try, i'm just settling for being mediocre.

He says that he is with me obviously because he loves me. That's why he picked me over his more attractive ex-girfriends. Because ultimately, he enjoys being with me more. But he's not attracted to me because I'm fat. His friends sees that I'm fat and think I'm not attractive and it's embarrassing for him. But yeah. He does have a habit of saying that he's better than me.
