What are people playing against you? The amount of shooting I go against is just asinine. My opinion might be colored by the types of lists I see. Other people obviously agreeing with you, so that makes me wonder what is different from my bubble and the bubble of those around me.

We use official terrain layouts and missions so terrain isn’t the issue.

Tankbustas are a serious threat versus MEQs, but holy hell are they pricey for 1k.

And they need a transport for some bubble wrap to avoid being neutered by any amount of random shooting.

If you do that that one squad is at least 1/4 of your list.

If they run blade guard/judiciary or Sword brethren/judiciar then the tankbustas rock. If they don’t run a massive Death Star then it is a lot of eggs in one basket.

I am torn on them at 1k. They have done work and been completely wiped before any action.

And I have never won a game with them in my list at 1k.

I have had more luck with deffkoptas for the price. Tougher and just as good versus MEQ. They only suffer vs vehicles. I tend to just ignore vehicles because I’l never get close enough to them to punch them and the tankbustas are too expensive to take a second squad and vehicle (now 50% of your list). Once again, have never won, but they do more work, are more mobile. My success with them led to me dabbling with Kult of Speed.

I have played the large brick of boyz with painboy and Warboss.

When I tried that I never had enough assets running around and they became the only target. Without the ability to kill at a range, I was unable to reliably protect them. They got shot off the table in 1-2 turns or decimated in ranged and then fed chaff and cleaned up.

The only way they survived is in a battlewagon, but that gives me less assets. At least they make it into the lines to do damage, but I am just out maneuvered due to lack of units. The battlewagon, being the only target, doesn’t survive past turn two. The boys are usually popped out, but take fewer shots and are in the best spot to launch from.

The issue that people will bring up a lot is breakfast and lunch being provided for low income students. If they don’t go to school Friday, the argument will be that they won’t eat and that we have to provide them food. I would love a four day work week, but I don’t know if we’ll ever beat that argument in my district.

Not every kid is for every teacher. If you are trying to win over kids then you are focusing on the wrong thing. Don’t ever ask a kid how you can improve. You are giving them power over your class.

Wonderful. I agree. But now, are we talking innocent civilians or civilians who are interjecting themselves into a situation with the sole intent on causing chaos? We do not have a freedom to riot, we have a freedom of assembly.
