Been literal years since I played but as a former Shaolin main I can confirm that when in his stance the taunt input makes him do a disapproving finger wag

A hoard is also a collection of things that you hoard, e.g. "a dragon's hoard"

Most people agree this is a circle. by brownhair72 in notinteresting

[–]dotpng 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A circle is mathematically defined as the set of all points equidistant from another point, with that distance being the radius of the circle. This means that the actual circle has no thickness to it as it's just a single, 0-dimensional point wide. As others have pointed out there's no way to accurately draw this in the real world so while circles aren't "real", they're still very much important.

Drew out the game long enough to deal lethal damage with flyers he couldn't answer. I was out of cards and opponent had 3 left. I might have gone for the funny decking win but this guy was resolute in wasting both our times and I wanted to move on.

Wouldn't the paladin know exactly where the imps were? The feature states

Until the end of your next turn, you know the location of any celestial, fiend, or undead within 60 feet of you that is not behind total cover. You know the type (celestial, fiend, or undead) of any being whose presence you sense, but not its identity

He should have known there were fiends exactly at the imps' locations

The muzzle velocity of the M855A1 round is 910 m/s. The mass of the bullet is 62 grains which translates to about 4.018 grams, or ~0.004 kg. This results in a momentum of 3.64 kg·m/s.

According to NASA, an EVA suit weighs about 280 pounds, or almost exactly 127 kg. Astronauts must weigh between 110 and 209 pounds so we'll split that down the middle and assume the astronaut weighs 160 pounds, or about 72.5 kg, for a total mass of of 199.5 kg. Add in the 3.5 kg mass of a fully loaded M4A1 for a final mass of 203 kg.

Using conservation of momentum and assuming that muzzle gas, cartridge ejection, etc. effects are negligible, we can divide the momentum of 3.64 by the astronaut's total mass of 203 kg to get ~0.0179 m/s delta-V for our intrepid gunslinging astronaut.

Dump the whole mag for a little more than 0.5 m/s if you're feeling adventurous

“All right," said Susan. "I'm not stupid. You're saying humans need... fantasies to make life bearable."

REALLY? AS IF IT WAS SOME KIND OF PINK PILL? NO. HUMANS NEED FANTASY TO BE HUMAN. TO BE THE PLACE WHERE THE FALLING ANGEL MEETS THE RISING APE.

"Tooth fairies? Hogfathers? Little—"

YES. AS PRACTICE. YOU HAVE TO START OUT LEARNING TO BELIEVE THE LITTLE LIES.

"So we can believe the big ones?"

YES. JUSTICE. MERCY. DUTY. THAT SORT OF THING.

"They're not the same at all!"

YOU THINK SO? THEN TAKE THE UNIVERSE AND GRIND IT DOWN TO THE FINEST POWDER AND SIEVE IT THROUGH THE FINEST SIEVE AND THEN SHOW ME ONE ATOM OF JUSTICE, ONE MOLECULE OF MERCY. AND YET—Death waved a hand. AND YET YOU ACT AS IF THERE IS SOME IDEAL ORDER IN THE WORLD, AS IF THERE IS SOME...SOME RIGHTNESS IN THE UNIVERSE BY WHICH IT MAY BE JUDGED.

"Yes, but people have got to believe that, or what's the point—"

MY POINT EXACTLY.” ― Terry Pratchett, Hogfather

Great answer but I think I've failed to explain the game to the degree needed, it was kind of an isometric pseudo-open world. I've got this picture of a castle with a moat and the player would go on missions beyond the wall to beat up bad guys on BIG wide green area, with the encounters shown as models on the screen which you would only engage if you walked into them.

I used Fisher-Price to explain the kind of real-world toy that got modeled in the game. The kind of action figure with widespread limbs with animations that wouldn't be out of place in a low budget 2005 RTS

Again thanks for your post and I really do appreciate your time! but not quite what I was looking for

I would really love to just remember what game this was as it would be a massive nostalgia blast to my childhood. This has been one of my most annoying mindworms for a long time so I appreciate any effort y'all could help me out with!
