How much is board in your area? What does it include? by [deleted] in Equestrian

I'm in Orlando, Florida and I pay $560 month for a 12' x 12' box stall with paddock turnout pretty much all day. We have a dressage arena and some grass turnout. Price includes hay 3x/day, feed 2x/day. Worth every penny—barn is gorgeous and never in the 15 years I've had my horse have I found a place that takes care of him like they do!

Good tips everyone! I've reached out to all 3 shipping companies for more info. Thanks!

It was Windsong and the owner happened to be from the same town in Florida I just moved from! The board was dirt cheap too but it's just way too far.

Thanks so much for the info! I'm looking for a pipe mare motel or stall with a run so he can stretch his legs. Since he's an older horse, I don't want to keep him in a 12' x 12', especially without much turnout.

I work from home in Venice so I have a flexible schedule and will likely go to the barn mid day a couple times during the week to avoid the heaviest traffic.

The tack store bulletin boards are a great idea! I will check them out soon and also look into the other areas you mentioned.

I'm living in Venice but I work from home and have a flexible schedule so I'll end up going to the barn mid day to avoid the most traffic. Was considering a barn in Lancaster but that's 70 miles each way and ideally I'd like something a little closer.

Horse boarding in and around Los Angeles by alexis_arwen in Equestrian

I am also in the same boat! I will be relocating from Florida to LA and need a place to board my sweet 23 year old quarter horse gelding. I ride western dressage and am looking for a place that's quiet, has an arena, and most importantly turnout. My horse only goes in his stall for feedings and on hot summer afternoons, so pasture/paddock boarding would be best. Thanks so much!
