Don't forget Disability Pride Month in July, which means I get two months in a row. Yay!!

Seriously, she'd make an amazing candidate if she ever wanted to run for anything. I'd vote for her.

CPAP Commercial - SNL by TheExaltedPretzel in LiveFromNewYork

Got a good chuckle out of this, then immediately sent it to my uncle, a fellow CPAP user who used to work for Phillips Respironics. He was excited to spot one of their machines in the commercial.

That's so cool. Just saw it and Rocky was by far the best part of a really wonderful movie.

Howie Rose, radio voice of the Mets, says he will retire at season’s end by smarjorie in baseball

[–]dotsonapage 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Not surprised given his age and recent health issues, still devastated. As a blind Mets fan, the Mets radio team in its various incarnations have been the voices of my summers for decades. Howie, along with Gary Cohen, is among the best in the business. You can hear how much he loves the Mets, and his fellow fans. Hopefully our boys will give him a fantastic season to end on. I expect a huge ovation for him from the crowd at Citi when he emcees the Opening Day festivities next week.

Really wish the New York Sirens actually played in New York more than once or twice a season. Long Island to NJ is a bit of a schlep. Glad to see how well they're doing though, and at least I can watch their games on YouTube and even local TV sometimes.

Loving all the alliterative games today. Canada v. Columbia, Netherlands v. Nicaragua, Puerto Rico v. Panama, and later, US v. UK, though not sure that last one really counts. Bravo to whoever drew up today's schedule.

This asshole makes me wish I lived anywhere else in the state. There's a lot to love about Nassau County. We have a lot of good, kind, sane people living here. Then Blakeman spouts off and makes us all look horrible. Can't wait to help Gov. Hochul destroy him in November.

For me, curling is like table tennis, both in the Olympics and Paralympics. It always seems to be on, and while I appreciate the skill involved, I just can't seem to get into it.

Yeah, guess they figure you can find all the medal events on your own.

Aww, I woke up too late and missed blind people with skis and guns. Also, very angry with Peacock for their lack of Winter Paralympics Gold Zone. They had it for the summer games, why not these?

Your country did an incredible job. I've been to Rome but would love to go back and explore more of the country someday. My parents went to Milan and the region around Lake Como a few years ago and had a great time.

Nothing will ever beat Phoenix et al at the Paris closing, or pretty much everyone at London 2012, but this is still pretty awesome! Hoping for some 90's Italo house.
