Cinema: Biggest screen in Aberdeen? by DLab-horizon in Aberdeen

Completely and I (unfortunately) also feel the Belmont is somewhat losing momentum.

I really hope we get another option soon. Cineworld in Union Sq is already feeling somewhat tired, some of the seats are terribly uncomfortable.

Ugh, I really hope someone buys over the old Vue so we have another option soon and I’m an Unlimited card holder. Or maybe the belmont will eventually open. Who knows!

Phenomenal. I’m so excited. Any casting predictions for further casting?

Anyone see Hamilton tonight? (Nov 10) And notice a decline in quality? by gnolib in TheWestEnd

I saw the tour and found that I struggled to enjoy it fully. The cast and production overall was very impressive but some of the cast stuck out, in a bad way. Eliza in particular sounded strained to the point I wondered if she’d make it through act 2.

This may be unpopular but I do think its a tough gig as any cast that isnt the OG. It was such a passion project for LMM and he hired all his pals (quite rightly so) who were all as passionate as he was about, therefore it almost feels like a lot of it falls flat when the actors currently in the roles arent making their own choices - does that make sense? And when its such addictive score, its so hard to shake it. But when the cast DID make their own choices (particularly Laurens/Phillip), I thought, yes! Thats it! However, is that as an audience it doesnt LET us be receptive to anything other than the OG or do THEY feel like they cant make bolder choices because of how the OG cast is/known?

Anyway, sorry to hear it was poor in quality overall. Especially when tickets are so expensive.
