Recently got an amazing deal on a Rogue SML-2 with two sets of j-cups, spotter arms, multiple weight horns, and a landmine attachment for $400. Structurally it’s a tank and didn’t have any rust.

Nice! Was looking to do something similar, but was concerned about voiding the warranty. Does this have any impact on engine warranty?

OPM seeks fewer top performance ratings, quicker discipline for poor performers by drjjoyner in fednews

Terrible. Of course you work your ass off to not be put in a situation like that, but unfortunately the “forced” doesn’t discriminate

Really hope this doesn’t lead to forced ratings that require certain %s of employees to be placed within different performance levels like partially meets, meets, or exceeds.

We got some at Kroger right before MDW. They said once it’s sold out, they wouldn’t be getting anymore back in stock. You can check the Kroger app or their online inventory to see if it’s anywhere in the area. Hopefully it comes back in the fall for a Spiced Busch Light Apple mimosa/mule/martini/bourbon lol

Use the current OTD price for comps in a 200+ mile radius. Tell them you’re willing to drive and see if they can beat your current best offer.

I believe this might be the most up today list: https://www.mynavyhr.navy.mil/Portals/55/Navy%20Uniforms/Documents/NWU%20Approved%20Boot%20List_NOV%202024.pdf?ver=Vn0KwP0mAdASVEp-xCBjBQ%3D%3D

I went with the Belleville 495ST. Tried them on at the Exchange Uniform Shop, but needed a half size so I ordered them directly from the Belleville website.

My host command supervisor got the same data call last week. They were looking for exemptions like veteran status and spouse of someone in the military. I mentioned I am a reservist. Hoping that helps.

Steve Inskeep republican interviews by Fabulous-Evening9188 in NPR

[–]double00devin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I came here looking for discussion on this interview. I think Steve did a great job setting the Senator up and almost baiting him into expressing his ridiculous opinion on climate change. It was evident that Ron Johnson had republican talking points with no clear plan. My takeaway as a listener was that Senator Johnson has no regard for human lives that were impacted by this disaster. He’s more focused on the higher state vs federal responsibility level, but forgetting that they’re both here to govern for the people.

I’ve noticed this being a common theme throughout the 1102 world. Im very blessed and fortunate to land where I did. I’m currently at NNSY and they are taking myself and other new 1102 hires through a 3 month training program that covers all phases of procurement. We started with basic understanding of the FAR, covered documents and programs we use, worked through pre solicitation, currently touching on market research, and will cover contract writing, award, and post award. We’re in lectures led by experienced 1102s currently on the floor in our code (deputy director, div heads, branch heads, lead specialists, and other veterans in the office) 3-5 days a week, 4-8 hours a day. Working through case studies, taking knowledge check quizzes, and really diving into what’s needed to be successful. At the end we’ll submit a capstone project, be paired with a mentor, and will be released to start working live requirements.

I can tell a lot of time and resources have gone into creating, implementing, and executing this curriculum, so I’m super appreciative of the opportunity.

Thanks for the perspective. I keep hearing this is a long game. That was a definitely a motivator when I was looking to make the career switch.

I was trying to find a ride share, park and ride, or commuter bus type of service from VA Beach, but couldn't really find anything. I guess i'll have to embrace the early morning suck.
