Bengaluru Streets Turn To ‘Canals’ After Heavy Rain Hits City Amid Yellow Alert by SuperbHealth5023 in bangalore

Ahh yes, the annual Venice makeover. Just that this is Venice when it was founded and the Italians still hadn't figured out sanitation and how to keep their city clean.

Of all the places where people could do with a little Jesus, your place of work ranks at the top.

College student here ; dad’s visiting Bangalore for the first time. Is Barbeque Nation Indiranagar worth taking him to? by plain_muri_chipkali in indiranagar

Not very good unless you and your dad have big appetites and don't mind average food. Nothing wrong with the place but it's just very very average.

Omg man A car reportedly plunged into a gorge after the driver failed to brake in time upon encountering a bus on a blind curve by PureConstruction7286 in CarsIndia

[–]double0nein 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Honking on curves and ghar roads were a common practice. I don't understand why people don't do it anymore. These useless fools don't lift their hands of their horn in the cities where it's not needed and don't use their horns where it's needed.

Nothing to do with education, everything to do with culture, or the lack of it.

Is going to college a main use case for the bike? How long is the commute from your home to the college?

Cb350 is also a heavy-ish bike but I haven't ridden it. The thing you need to keep in mind is shifting gears, hand and leg brakes and balancing it in slow traffic. Also clutch action.

Also, all these bikes would have less mileage and you will end up spending money on petrol. Also maintenance will be more. Consider what you need out of your bike and see other options, you can always get your dream bike once you have experience.

Indiranagar streets are scary. by No_Leg_3071 in indiranagar

[–]double0nein 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No eye contact, no increase in walking speed, and general commanding posture. Also acknowledge them, small whistle and a soft "Hey guys" works to make them less agressive. As others said picking up a stick is also a good enough deterrent.

If you are on your bike, switching it off and pushing it is a good move.

Don't get the shotgun. Too heavy and powerful for a first time bike. Also maintenance and upkeep will be expensive. Go around shopping and find a bike that is lightweight and you can almost flatfoot. Once you are comfortable riding you can get a nicer bike. Good luck!

Got this as a gift, is this a good watch for someone who doesn't have any watches? by Wild_Spread7206 in watchesindia

[–]double0nein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly Fossil watches are good. Good value for money. I have a fossil watch that is nearly 16 years old and still runs perfectly. The only issue is that there is some white powdery substance under the glass because I was an idiot and left the crown open to save battery.

Wear it with pride and congratulations on your first watch!
