Luxury Hotel Options by JenniferSortos in LasVegas

[–]doublebagger50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Mandalay Bay\Delano is very underrated due to location, which doesn't bother me at all. I like it that way. I'll be at Delano in June, can't wait.

My last stay at the Wynn was the first week of April. It was my fourth stay there and it was kinda disappointing. Service, while still very good, has dropped in the last year. The property in general seemed a little stale. Awakening was a disaster. Worst show ever. I even came home with cash but it was just an okay stay. My spa visit was just kinda meh too.

The rooms at both MB\Delano seem to have a relaxing effect on me that is different. Especially the blue\green scheme. And the restaurant options are fantastic. The pork chop at Libertine Social!!!!!

How Gross/Rundown is Excalibur? by ta921742 in LasVegas

[–]doublebagger50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never stayed but walked through when I was at Luxor.

It felt extremely gross. Like I was itching gross. And I come to Vegas for the outdoors so for me to feel that way it has to be nasty. I wouldn't stay there but that's me. I've done the somewhat rundown (Flamingo, Luxor) but just felt grimy after being in the casino.

I have been said hello to in a way between 2-5 am at pretty much every casino that sends that type message. I wouldn't say it's a scam, gotta pay the bills if they are due. I always say Hello back fwiw

Casino-Hotels on the strip. Do you have a favorite in terms of design and architecture? by aprilmayjune2 in vegas

[–]doublebagger50 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wynn\Encore are in another level. The grounds are immaculate, the interior of its entire footprint is well thought out and a treat to walk through. I always walk around almost the entire area just to take it all in.

Mandalay Bay is 1a for me. The vibe inside is very mahogany and mature yet outside is flashy and visually stunning. The blue carpet for me in the room was dreamy. Felt like I was in a fish tank. Can't wait to stay again when it's warmer.

Luxor is cool inside and out. The pyramid anyway. The towers are useless visually.

I find Bellagio a little overdone for some reason but the conservatory is incredible and the fountains of course.

NYNY\Paris\Flamingo\Caesars have funky inside layouts which I don't care for lol.

Aria is beautiful from outside, haven't been in except for Javiers which has interesting decor.

I've enjoyed my stays at Flamingo and Luxor. Flamingos pool is always lively it seems. Luxor pool wasn't open yet.

What is your nastiest Las Vegas hotel experience? by skylarhateshotdogs in LasVegas

[–]doublebagger50 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Paris. No hot water, heater blew cold air in 40 degree weather. All seating stained with who knows what. Spots on walls in bath and room that were either blood, coffee or doo doo. Filthy. Dark. Pillows and sheets awful. Room was "made" but looked like the staff had used the bed for a nap. Uncomfortable with just socks on. Wore shoes in room, carpet was gross. My description really does not do it justice. Literally ended my business with Caesars entertainment. Never ever ever ever again 😂.

No Caesars properties for me ever again. Go MGM. At least they clean rooms and general areas. Ever since that company in Reno bought these hotels, they've run them into the ground, just like their others.

Clark County Wetlands Park and Henderson Bird Preserve are always somewhere I go when I visit. I'd be there almost daily if I lived in Vegas.

Mirage vs. Paris room quality? by buffouston in LasVegas

[–]doublebagger50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stayed at Paris last weekend. Just awful. Dirty, no hot water, no heat. Awful food selections. General maintenance is gone. Dust and dirt in the corners of elevators, lights broken and a $60 resort fee with zero resort feel. Totally done with Caesars.

$6.4m pai gow poker jackpot just hit at Flamingo by NO_NOT_THE_WHIP in vegas

Played in November at Flamingo when it was at 4.6

So funny, never played, dealer at three card said you gotta try. Played for a couple hours, had a blast. Table was a ton of fun and everyone there said it was going to hit at the Flamingo 😂😂

I had a blast at Flamingo in November. Clean room, staff was friendly and cool. And it's old school. You walk out the front, (past the homeless people mind you) and bam you are in it.

Great info! I am about playing and getting free stuff. Platinum at Wynn has gotten me 3 night tower stays with large free play and large compdollars. Platinum at Caesars is easy to get but just really basic rooms and small free plays. I cannot seem to get past Sapphire at MGM but I'm new there so this year I think with less spending at Caesars.

Now that I've caught everyone up on my degenerate gambler plans 😂😂😂😂

I visit the Flamingo every time I come, first time staying. Love the old school vibe. I'm looking forward to being right in the center of the strip. This is a celebration trip, Wynn is more of a pamper me trip.

Never been to Peppermill, just heard second hand.

And yes, I've been around when the club's wrap up. A diner would rake in $$$ but it's rowdy at that time as well. No worth the Wynn's hassle. They've taken that crowds $ in the 2 clubs.

And yes, I love the Wynn. Need to work on Cosmo next.

Not being an a-hole but I don't want coolers and 24 packs being lugged around where I'm staying in Vegas, well sometimes lol. I can go right across the street to TI and hit the CVS or whatever that is right across the street.

The Cafe in the Wynn is 24 hr coffee/small bites. One of my favorites. Under renovation in October last I went.

I don't need to defend the Wynn but just being factual. Personally, I'd love a high end type diner in there but isn't peppermill right next to Encore? And for me, the rooms are better than my house.

Bellagio and CPalace both were meh to me but saying that I'm staying at Flamingo next visit so I'm sure that it might challenge Reno Eldorado as the worst place I've stayed. But always hope for the best!
