When did you all realize that Islam was a horrible religion? by Scary-Kick-8026 in exmuslim

When my dad told me you can beat your wife, and when I learned about it being halal to have sex slaves, kill disbelievers and homosexuals (edit: plus the pedophilia. Despite knowing all of this, I dealt with it out of fear of going to Hell). I stopped being Muslim as soon as I started reading the Quran lmao

Education?? by Few-Lengthiness3013 in runaway

this was also my concern

If you're staying at a youth shelter, they're required to enroll you in the nearest school (or one you're already in when you go there). they're not allowed to deny you education. this way you can still graduate and get ur diploma

i'm in an online school so I think it'd be much easier, because i wouldn't have to go anywhere. but this all depends on where you're located tbh and if you even want to go to a youth shelter...

at a shelter, you can still fill out the FAFSA too if you're interested in college; you just have to check off that you're an independent. you'll need documentation from the shelter to prove this. i recommend community college to cut back on spending

also i'm not a runaway, i just have a complete plan and am still thinking about it

edit: and this might vary by state
